If you look carefully at the brackets, I believe you will see
that all four ACC teams are still alive and kicking (8-0)
whereas over half of the Pac 10 representatives are gone (5-3).
Now, I believe the ACC is fortifying their grip on "best
conference" recognition, and the Pac 10 is stumbling as I had
predicted. And Mr. Lin, I believe your mighty Bruins have
finally stopped shaking after their close shave to Mizzou.
Hmmm, do you really think that they can defeat Miss St and
either UConn or Maryland in back-to-back games? I think not.
But who am I to judge? I'm only in the nation's best
conference!
Brian
5-3 isn't all THAT bad (there are many conferences doing worse),
but why let facts interfere with classless, grudge-based woofing, huh
Mr. Short? Especially since people might notice that the MIGHTY ACC,
in the first round, downed no more or less than the following formidable
competition: a 13th seed, a 14th seed, a 15th seed, and a 16th seed.
Gosh that would be an inconvenient thing for people to notice about the
MIGHTY ACC, and might make one's woofing seem a bit more silly. Better
keep woofing, lest people suspect something.

Gooooood! WAY to woof, Mr. Short! Ooops, I hope people don't notice
the close shave Virginia had to Miami of Ohio! That, again, might make
the anti-Bruin woofing seem a little silly (coming from a Virgina fan
and all)! No, I'm SURE that the close-shave Cavaliers could win back-
to-backs against Kansas and Arakansas. While the Bruins should just
mail it in against MSU. GOSH we Bruins suck, especially compared to
Virginia. Do me a favor and give me one more woof, just for good mea-
sure:

Well...you are right. Virginia DID have a close shave against Miami of Ohio.
If you want to say that is a knock against the ACC, then go right ahead. The
ACC is not quite as good as we all think because the #4 ACC team barely
beat a #12 seed. You know though...there is something funny about Virginia
even PLAYING Miami of Ohio. What was supposed to happen? I am having a
little trouble remembering...OH YEAH! Miami of Ohio BEAT Arizona...one of
those Pac-10 teams! Actually, the #2 or #3 Pac-10 team! Oh my...are you
going to put down the ACC for eventually BEATING Miami, but not RIP the
hell out of the Pac-10 for LOSING to the same team? That would not be a
biased way of looking at things would it? Nah...that would NEVER happen!
As for the Bruins, they have to get past MSU and then *possibly* an ACC
team in Maryland. That would be #1 in the Pac-10 vs. #3 in the ACC. If the
Bruins were to lose, would THAT prove anything to you? I've just gotta know.
Maybe I am confused, but it sounds to me like you are trying to disguise
insults on the ACC and hyping of the Pac-10. I just wanted to make sure the
WHOLE facts were provided...Arizona out in the first round for the 3rd
time in 4 years...what a team!

I believe a close shave victory over Miami (OH) is much better
than a loss to Miami (OH). Sorry 'Zona.

Uhh, who is certain that Ark will beat Memphis???

Couldn't have said it any better.

You do indeed like to use that word. Take some advice: Buy a
dictionary or a thesaurus.

Ugh, I hate this! READ my post agaain, big guy. I did NOT knock the
ACC for Virginia's close shave against Miami! NOR did I claim to be a
defender of the Pac-10. Perhaps your time would be better spent rebut-
ting arguments other people actually make, as opposed to building straw
men and then tearing them down. A Virginia "We eeked by Miami" Cavalier
fan trashes UCLA for a squeaker against a Missou team shooting 65% from
3-point land, a UCLA fan points out the hypocrisy in that, suddenly he's
an ACC-basher? Defender of the 'Zona Wildcats? The PAC-10 did not lose
to Miami. Arizona, a member of the Pac-10 conference, did.
There are enough woofers out there (the ORIGINAL poster, for example)
without trying to invent another one. And there are enough losers
out there without trying to pin vicarious losses on teams that still
survive in this here tourney. If you all are so hot, us Bruins will be
gone by Saturday. Quick and easy. Maybe it'll happen; I'm sure you
think it PROBABLY will happen. But if the Bruins win . . . hmm, you
may want to save some ketchup for your crow. Just remember, unlike you
ACC fans,I have done ABSOLUTELY NO WOOFING!
Please recognize that the trash has been flowing westward.

If I were a UofA fan (which I am NOT), I might ask this GTech fan when
is the last time his team went to the final four. But I am not, and
hypocrisy seems to matter less and less in this debate, anyway

OK. Maybe you did not "knock" the ACC. What you did say was something
along the lines of...Virginia struggled with Miam so UCLA struggling
with Mizzou equals out. What I was saying is that Virginia beat a team
that beat Arizona. There is no way under these circumstances you can
talk about things being even. Arizona was supposed to be awesome...just
look at all the damned woofing by 'Zona fans as to how much they would
crush Miami by with or without Damon. Hell, people were so gungho, they
were talking about what Zona would do to Arkansas...was that maybe just
a little presumptuous? Maybe?

Uh...I'd just *LOVE* to see you show me my woofing. I have NEVER said
UCLA would lose to Maryland. I said UCLA would *probably* play Maryland
and that it would be a good game. Nothing more. If you must know, I do
THINK Maryland will beat UCLA...that is my pick in one of the tourney pools
I am in. However, Maryland must get past a tough UConn team and UCLA a
tough (very underrated) Miss St. squad. BTW, in my other pool, I have
UCLA in the Final Four...I guess that is proof I think they suck. :)
>Please recognize that the trash has been flowing westward.
Yeah...no trash has flowed from the other side of the country has it?

Well you are not a U of A fan, and I am not a Georgia Tech fan. I am here
for grad school. But if I were a Ga. Tech fan, I might be inclined to ask
when was the last time UCLA was in the Final Four? Sometime long before
Tech's last appearance me thinks!
