The Rose Award goes to 2 interleague players this week: Raul Ibanez of
the Phillies, who contines to marvel at age 39, and Jarrod Saltamachia
who hit 2 monster home runs for the Red Sox in their interleague game
against the Phils.

The Rose Award goes to Jonathan Lucroy of the Milwaukee Brewers, who
went three-for-five with seven RBI and scored three runs in a 16-4 win
over the Minnesota Twins.

Lucroy homered twice, including his first grand slam. Zack Greinke
extended his unbeaten streak to 20 starts as a Brewer at Miller Park.

I hate to correct you, but (sadly) Raul Ibanez no longer plays for the
Phillies. Raul (sadly) has hit his 9 HR and knocked in his 29 runs
for the New York Yankees, proving again what a putz Charley Manuel
really is.

Given that the presence of Raul in the Phillies lineup, and the 39
RISP during the two games the Sox won just MIGHT have made a
difference......you get my drift.

Honorable mention goes to Milwaukee Brewer Robin Yount who has the
same first name of the Bee-Gee great that passed away over the
weekend, Robin Gibbs.

Deward is it true you were named after the scotch drink with the same
name? If so, are you still too young to drink it?

Not hardly, BooBoo. If you would take the time to Google my name,
which for obvious reasons is NOT my real name, you would know
that. :-)
