Lets see of the more well known I researched:

Armistead was killed at Gettysburg leading Pickets charge.

A.P. Hill died commanding----I trained at a camp named after him in
Virginia BTW back in 1969

Tomas "Stonewall" Jackson, wounded by his own side----died of
pneumonia several days later at Guiney's Station Va. I'm old enough to
remember when they turned you in bed among other things (like mustard
plasters) to prevent pneumonia before antibiotics became readily
available.

and here's the one you got confused on:

John Bell Hood although wounded at Gettysburg, survived the war to
become a cotton trader.
Died in 1879 of yellow fever, buried at Metairie Lousiana...Now try to
quit making a ass out of yourself boy! 0~;)P

Woohoo!!! Jinnie's really frothing now! Look at him go! Gee - I
must really be bothering the dumb son of a bitch! You're the ass in
this conversation, dummy, and the only confusion is your own - in a
lame attempt to work an angle where you hope to be in a position of
correcting me on a subject I've been steadily bitch-slapping you on.
You brought up Jackson and how he died "on the battlefield and I
corrected you in saying he didn't - he died eight days later at
Fairfield. Now, because you also had a sentence preceeding your
statement on where Jackson died (on the battlefield you said - which
was wrong) regarding where Hood died, you're now working a really
retarded angle that I was somehow saying Hood was wounded at
Chancellorsville and died eight days later when I said he (Jackson)
died at Fairfield. Cut the crap and the retarded diversion, dumbass -
it ain't flying - but I'll work it as long as you want and slam you
for how lame it is and how pathetic you are every time. The
subjective pronoun was abundantly clear and the context was as clear
as day and you're grasping at straws like a little girl ------> again.
Tell us some more about how "Hoods calvary" was so "fast and light."
Not that there was any such entity as "Hoods calvary" but that didn't
stop you earlier when you first brought it up. Moron.

Lets say I had a epifiney....The real problem wasn't in Vietnam. It
was a bunch of dishonest, dope smoking, self serving baby boomer's
back home. The terms of service on my last six year hitch happen to be
up at the end of the last 13 month in country tour so I got out & came
home to adjust some poor thinking...So - here I am now 37 years later

Ignorant by fact and principle.....Your Officer material boy

Whereas you're latrine material. The reality is, it is ~you~ who are
"Ignorant by fact," as it has been clearly shown here and on a variety
of other subjects, that you are often and decidely ignorant of the
facts - unless you wanna take another stab at explaining your dumb
assertion of "fast and light like Hoods calvary" in the light of there
never was any such entity. And you are ignorant clearly in principle
by the simple nature of the evidence that you are without principle.
You gargle some inanity, get shown the error of your ways, and where
does your "principle" lead you? Changing the subject. Making up more
unsupported shit. Attacking the person clueing you in to your errors
as opposed to coming even remotely close to mounting a shadow of an
argument which supports your thesis - in this current iterration -
"light and fast like Hoods calvary," and "Texas calvary carried John
Bell Hood and the CSA." I know it's difficult - the facts are against
you - but the least you could do is maybe try something I couldn't
argue against - like fact (you have to grasp them to use them, you
should consider) - or even maybe just saying you hopped in your time
machine and hung out with Hood and his "calvary" and in your
estimation upon direct observation that they were "light and fast" -
and even from Texas as well as being a sight to behold as they
"carried John Bell Hood and the CSA" - all those history books and
personal accounts from the period just happen to be dead wrong! Oh,
wait - I could debunk the time machine gambit, too. Maybe you should
just be aware of the facts before you start gargling something you
think sounds good as a substitution for fact. This assuming no one
will recognize the difference between what you say and almost 150
years of history of the period and records from the period isn't
serving you too well.

I'm not a big Hood supporter, because he failed after bragg gave him
powe at the end. He was a crippled man, by the time he gave him
power,,, he was wounded in the south as far as I know,,, NO, not the
virginia south,,, the real south. Gawd dang it,, you want me to go
back and review my history? HOOD was not a good general. He was a
"Braggs personal " Scrapegoat.

The facts speak for themselves, nut, and in this case, there's no
insult I can level against the Snuffwad which can compare with just
how magnificently (and regularly) he insults himself with his own
words.

>you're starting to interest me,,,, maybe EDUCATE me.

Ask a question. If I know the answer I'll tell ya and if I don't,
I'll tell you I don't whereas the Snuffwad will pretend he does, call
you names for asking, make threats he can't deliver on ( 500 lb.
calves, anyone?), and as far as history goes, he'll try to murder it
with shit he thinks sounds good. It's been an ongoing pattern.

>Now, say that agin with a college edukated lingo.

Jackson didn't die on the battlefield - he was wounded - and he died
eight days later at Fairfield Plantation.

>Yes,, btw,, he insulted me with Stonewall. But git over it,,, keep
>your opinon and knowledge going.

Jackson could general and his campaign into the Shenandoah was nothing
short of brilliant. But, I imagine it'll just be a matter of time
before the Snuffwad calls him a yankee like he did with Lee.

Sorry nut - when Bragg resigned after Chattanooga, the army went to
Johnston, not Hood. Hood got it later at Atlanta. Hood was actually
a good general IMO - certainly reliable and his men loved him. He was
no Jackson, to be sure, but only Jackson was Jackson. As for
injuries, he lost the use of an arm at Gettysberg and lost a leg at
Chickamauga. Btw, say what you will about Hood - just don't you be
trash-talking his "Texas calvary." The Snuffwad tends to pitch major
hissies on things like that.

My first hitch was for 2 because I went in on what was called a kiddy
cruise program, when I shipped over it was for six years because the
bonus was bigger.....also extended 18 months once to stay at a good
duty station. USN all the way, no reserve time....none owed when I got
out either----you did over 6
back then you didn't have to do any reserve time. A good thing to
seeing Jimbo claims I was a war criminal. They couldn't call me back
for anything...not even
the warrant's IIIMAF had out on me in Vietnam for roughing up a couple
of Dog patch M.P.'s & damaging USMC property ;)P ~one

The way I look at it is, Lee is a too powerfull and respected figure
for some posing wannabe jerkoff like the Snuffwad to really insult -
all he really does when he stirs shit by saying asinine things like
Lee was a yankee is insult himself and other people's intelligence. As
for Arlington, he brought it up but so far he hasn't insulted that
ground or the people buried there...yet. Maybe he's hoping he can be
buried there someday so that's why he's leaving it alone.

See? He's pitching a hissy right now. Yo, dummy - earlier you were
saying "Texas calvary carried the CSA and John Bell Hood." You really
shouldn't contradict yourself so blatantly - it just demonstrates how
much of a M O R O N you are. But then, one would think that a
brigade known as Hood's Texas Brigade would have at least one regiment
of Texas cavalry - especially since it was formed by a Texan and, as
you've said, Hood "preferred Texas calvary." Still, for some reason
they chose Georgian cavalry. I'm guessing Hood knew what was for the
best.

Yeah, I kind of liked California....a bit to crowded to suit me now

was still in Sacramento going to school, I could drop by, have a drink

two years of school, boot camp and my first Home port were on the west

Wrong again, Chuck jumps to conclusions like you punk....he only did
one hitch so every one else must have only done one hitch....The first
hitch in the Navy when I entered could be either two or four years or
anything in between, it depended on your age and whether you were
going reserve or not...If you shipped over after that first hitch the
max you could ship for was 6 years, anything less than 24 months would
be considered a extention...I shipped for six after my first hitch and
extended twice for 18 months after that because some interesting shit
was going on. The Navy had all kind of enlistment plans---I saw guys
leave boot camp as Third Class Petty Officers...Not me, I did shit the
old fashioned way, with sweat----left recruit training as a E-2, went
to sea & was happy with that. Then this Bupers punch card computer
started screwing with me.
Dunno what the story on the quick promotions were ~ my rate was fairly
closed up------Yet I was a E-6 by 21, spooky. Thought of turning a
blank advancement test in once to see if I would still get promoted,
chickened out though----you didn't mess with the old time Navy, it was
like screwing with the mafia, their were going to be consequences and
ugly ones at that. Anyway I stayed longer than needed hoping to get to
kill a Soviet Political Commissar....Was in the right slot for that
from 1966 till the beginning of 1969-----but the USSR never gave the
composit team I was on a excuse to jump their MLR, get in the rear
with their gear and shit on everything. ;( sucks
~I sure wanted to kill me a Russian Officer DAMN~

I didn't serve with retirement or benefits in mind, had no family----
The Navy was my home....Even later as a civilian I didn't take jobs or
feather my bed with retirement in mind....I did shit because it
appealed to me and lived for the moment, the next Adrenalin rush----
money and possessions meant little..., the Navy was changing, started
seeing more and more sailors putting their own careers ahead of
everything else including the team, ship or whatever. I got bored and
moved on...Once you're into something for money or retirement
benefits----you become more cautious and less effective. Not to

Why would he? I mean - you've already said he "preferred Texas

Well, then - since there's nothing in the historical record to suggest
that Hood "preferred Texas calvary," nor have I ever read or even
heard of him making such a statement or anyone other than you, who
never knew Hood or knew anyone who knew Hood (this oughta be good)
relating that this was a preference of his, please relate to us how
you know that Hood "preferred Texas calvary." I call bullshit until
you can produce some evidence that this was indeed a preference of
his. I say you're made it up. That you blathered it because you
thought it sounded good. That you're lying. And that you are a liar.
Prove me wrong, dummy. (this oughta be really good)

Hood like any good military man, took what he had and soldiered on. Up
that high, you piss off another General senior to you and your men
might be from Georgia wishing they had horses....Its often called
"left standing there with calvary on your roster and your dick in your
hand."
Yeah he wished he had Texas Calvary...the Ole boy probably wished for
a lot of things----brogans for his soldiers feet, Springfield rifles,
more artillery
---a hot shit, Naval Adviser to lurk in the shadows causing the enemy
to blow their cool and make mistakes----- you name it ha ha ha 0~;)P

Well, then - since that's the case - that he didn't have any "Texas
calvary," how can you say, and you did say it, "Ever wonder why it was
called the Texas Brigade? Hood preferred Texas Calvary" Unless you're
saying he was "preferring" so hard for "Texas calvary" for his brigade
that they just called it the Texas brigade in honor of his lack of
"Texas calvary."

He was wishing so hard it's a wonder the Texan who formed the Brigade
neglected to stock it with any "Texas calvary" at all - especially
since roughly 60% of the soldiers in the war from Texas were
"calvary." I'm thinking Hood knew what he was doing and was pleased
with his cavalry regiment from Georgia.

"Ole boy?" He was the youngest General in the war with an Army. Hell,
he was young enough to "bother" you.

is screwing me"

No being responsible for the lives of that many men tends to make you
old quick----specially if you care about them

You may be right, DOD tends to make its Branch's kill programs after a
war by cutting off funds then have to start from scratch when the next
war comes along,

Shit, since we're talking "probably" now, he's "probably" spinning in
his grave and thinking that dumbass Jinnie doesn't know what the hell
he's talking about.

So, even though he was under 70 and by that token, young enough to
bother you, and died in his 40's - only a few years older than I am
now, and having been the youngest general in the war with an Army, age
apparently isn't relevant when it comes to whether he bothers you or
not?

Naw, I'm thinking there never was - just no such thing, outside of
your own egocentric imagination, as "a hot shit, Naval Adviser to lurk

in the shadows causing the enemy to blow their cool and make

mistakes," is all.

Lets say under 65 is a general rule for going to be dumb....Some
youngsters
surprise me with their wit & wisdom, not many....only a hand full---
Hood might have been that type. He rose to outrank me so he had to
have something on the ball

Oh yeah they did, our numbers were few----the selection process was a
bitch.
Check this out, 4 men to a filed team, 5 field teams to a Corps area
with enough riverine system to make it worth while. 4 corps is ummmmmm
lets see 4 x 5=20 X 4 = 80 men in any given year....I'm not counting
the HQ Group types.
they were mostly over the hill older sailors in their 40's and 50's
unable to take the beating 24/7 out on the Junk Flots...I'd say the
Navy got the maximum pop for their money in that deal---Finding enough
people with the required intellect to train was the only flaw.....Have
to be tactical genius, good with both languages and weapons, the top
young men in their particular rate, capable of being pirates yet loyal
to the Navy and able to carry out orders...Nope not many, lets see 80
men a year for 5 or 10 years of U.S. involvement? 800 at the most.
Loss's by attrition....just a few more to find & train....Just keep
rotating the survivors back in. 850 qualified for that warfare
classification at the most. Not even worth a foot note in the order of
battle. Not to mention, we seemed to upset the USMC Generals by
breaking their regulations every chance we got the USN might have
decided its best to forget it. Yet they kept sending me & I'm sure the
other CoVans letters to come back during Niqeraguwa...HA I was
following it by P-INT and noticed they were forced into using mostly
civilian contractors and SEALS to take up the slack. Those types can
be effective but they require bigger teams and are not cost effective
or necessarily have the finesse that we did----At least 2 or 3 SEALS
and one SBU Petty Officer lost their life in that short South American
Advisory effort trying to pull off the interdiction we pulled off in
Vietnam with our eyes closed----The difference was I believe----SEALS
tend to buy into their Hollywood image and we were just a bunch of
highly qualified & super chicken shit fleet thugs who liked to operate
in the background preferably getting the local fighters killed if
somebody had to die and trying not to get put on report for anything
we did! 0~;-*
