Not as if raping his friend's wife was bad enough, he had to go and
tape her eyes together first. That's gotta hurt.

Maybe he has and maybe not. I have no idea. I am pretty certain, though,
that he refers to those "war prisoners" that you claimed to have killed
during your Rambo tours in Viet Nam. I also think he is referring to those
individuals that you claimed to have hanged down in your neck of the woods.

You did make those claims.

Hold on there, Chuck. I have posts and replies from him that state that he
was not sure whether it was 3 hash marks or 4. Well, 3 would make it twelve
years and 4 would make it sixteen.

Also, I have yet to talk to military people (enlisted or commissioned,
active duty, discharged, or retired) who can't remember for sure how many
years they served. But, Snuffy, it seems, can't quite remember whether it
was 3 or 4 hash marks.

Go figure!! :-)

They often came to our river outpost to turn theirselves in, knowing they would

complaining because he almost got his ass shot off one night...The dumb fuk
tried to swim in and come up on the sand spit where we beached our junks around
2200hours one night cause he was afraid to be seen walking into our village and
giving up by his comrads (figgered if he just disappeared he would be written

held that side and they skint them alive. Our Intel Officer a Marine Mustang
flew in with the black cats and said "Hey we got a complaint against you guys!"

WTF?
"Yeah a Chu Hoi was trying to surrender in the dark and you like to have shot
his ass off, he had to walk to a Marine firebase towards DaNang to surrender!"
"I remember him, it was about two weeks ago and this shit bird swims up to the
Yahbuta's in the dark, the indigs thought he was a sapper and went crazy..I ran

We weren't Marines stumbling around with easylie identified uniforms and heavy
loads dummy, we lived with the locals
and traveled light when away from our boats cayse we rarelly moved over half a
click from the river on foot patrol. I was so skinny and burnt so brown ya cud
hardly tell me from my indig's unless we were standing in line...I was taller
but we all looked like irregulars. I was refused entrance to several US
instalations in DaNang when I went in evry 4 months
untill I took my sunshades off and the boot sentrys saw mu blue eyes...From a
distance? Nope I doubt most of the time a enemy cud tell me from my lttle
people from a distance. We lived with them, ate their food followed their
customs... under those conditions it don't take that long to pick up their
manerisms and start moving like one. You just have no clue

We weren't marines stumbling around out there lost on search and
destroy...Advisors
had been on those outpost's since the 50's. One passing on to the other the lay
of the land...We lived there and knew it as good as any VC and much better than
the NVA...Our FAC's never left us if we were on the ground cause we were 18 or
less in force on the ground even using our ready reaction platoon, one fac was
always on station. If they hadda left we wudda simply popped smoke and gave the
zoomies an azumith telling them how far out we wanted it. Well they did leave
once when the Snakes showed up...Apparently Snakes don't need no stinking
FAC....They do their own marking, a marvel to watch the day they came it was in
3's...flew a ferris wheel pattern one always high, one making a gun run and the
other climbing out. Talk about wood cutters Bzzzzzzzwerp zowee. Damnedist thing
I ever saw...fukking tree's falling over left and right. Chuck got his ass eat
up that day, motor crews and all. As we retreived and started back down river a
FAC buzzed our boats to let us know he hadn't really left I think....They were
a faithfull bunch for being Airforce ;)P

Go look it up in one of your war books boot
All I know is I could run it over rough terrain
carrying my load if we hadda di di for any reason, knowing our A.O. like we did
we prolly knew another shorter way to the river also cause it didn't always pay
to go back the way you came or take a obvious route out...After talking to your
book reading ass it occurs to me we really shudda had more of us better trained
Advisors and fewer Marines in I Corps I'm a thinking.... Mighta won the war,

trying to get back to my boat is where I probably was and everybody knew where
the boats were cause their easy to spot using smoke was quite common even the
FAC's used it...ya think them rockets they carried under the wings were frag?
They were willy peter dummy.
We popped it all once we hit the river bank
and the motar crews on the boat started throwing smoke rounds out because
number one they cuddn't fire our way with the M2's cause you cud just about bet
we were between them and the enemy plus a boat was going to swing in and snatch
us
and he needed cover Its a wonder anybody in the air could see the ground once
we reached the water I often cuddn't see 5 ft myself at the extract point... We
just hit the bank, jumped in the water and a boat would loom up and start
snatching us out Ya cud always tell when everybody was in the water...M2's wud
start barking over our heads, we had a prearrange for that too.
I'd tell you what it was but then you would have to die! Like skydivers and the
VC we dirtdived just about everything Idiot ;)P

Where do you think we were somewhere else..everybody involved knew where we
were at, wern't marine mutts ya know.
The boats dropped us off but didn't leave us behind. FAC was over us from the
gitgo. And we wern't planning on staying long or marching out of the Area to go
somewhere else..We always rode around
on boats. Our target was specific and usually already well marked, you could
pratically follow old bomb craters to them. Poping smoke was just a formality
to identify our exact location to friendlys. The FAC was firing smoke rockets
to identify incoming enemy units or motar crews not us, nothing gets the blood
pumping like hearing a FAC announce "Weve got a estimated 200 U.I. moving in
on your pos from the east!". We were just pawns in the big game. There to
collect souvineers and carrying sachel charges to make sure the target was by
god destroyed for sure...I don't think our ground missions were like any you
might have been in Chuck...Talking us into getting off the boats at all was
tuff enuff and had to be pre arranged, we always went in early and were out by
lunch. You think we lived in the jungle like the raggity ass marines Chuck?
Hell no we took care of targets that caused river trafic problems which air
couldn't get and Marines were to cumbersom and slow moving to take care
of...besides it was good for South Vietmanese moral to do it theirselves
although they were a tuffer sale on getting off the boats than our skinny
butts. The Operations Officer said "you will do this"
we went...the RVNN Officers? Mostly "no can do" Hadda take em out and show them
they not only had men who were willing and able but could actually do it with a
little help from their CoVan friends.

Well Joe, stop by and meet my wife. She was not sure if it was 24 or 25

Ah yes.
With a little latitude in definitions, I do know a lot of skydivers that fit
the bill.
Especially if you delete Bud Ice, and simply say "drinks beer".

Actually, Ron, what is means is that they gave a very, _VERY_ broad spectrum
description. That description covers probably 75% of the American male
skydiving population, and if you include those that "want" to drive fancy
cars, it's probably closer to 90%.

Judge others lest ye be judged yourself, Ron.

One of us? Oh yeah - the Rev reports he's been on an 8way - just
never sent in for the froo-froo. Not discounting the BBMSCA - I think
it's a great thing but, gee - Rev isn't a member of the club that
mailed in the money and got the certificate/patch/sticker. Whoopty

Near as I can tell, at least by what he's said, he had the grips. The
dive counts - sending in for the badges don't.

More than likely, the other seven people on the dive and probably his
logbook.

Don't think he reported he was. So?

*If* he pours - who says he's pouring?

Not old fashion - the being poured on before pouring is as still
current today as it was a few years ago. The way you see it is he
ain't never been on an 8way if he never got poured on or sent in for
the badges. Stop your posturing - you're not the only one who ever
got an SCR. Whoopty shit. Probably never even lead a ceremony.

Probably? Says who? Says you? Like you're the arbiter. No, I think
he doesn't send in for it because it makes you prance up and down just
thinking that he never did.

It means as much as it means. An 8way is an 8way and first is always
special - nevermind the paraphenalia you place so much status in.

>If he waited that long, it was too long.

Too long? Says who? You? Like, you're the arbiter. No, there is no
magic window of time that would keep anyone from sending off for their
BBMSCA or for Newell to determine inelligibility because of missing
this imaginary window..

>
>>Near as I can tell, at least by what he's >said, he had the grips.

Because that's the bullshit, cheapass, chickenshit method to get an
SCS, of course. Actually, who says he didn't back out and slide over
a few slots? I'm confident he's done that a bunch and is just
maintaining the fascade that he hasn't - and watching you prance
about.

Which is about as chickenshit as it gets. You heard it hear, folks -
it's not about what was accomplished but entirely about the trappings
of affluence. Poser.

>
>> Stop your posturing - you're not the only >one who ever got an SCR.

Yeah, the chickenshit, bullshit method of doing both on the same dive.
Cheapass wannbee. It's harder if you do it on two seperate dives.

>and it makes me suspect Rev's a chickenshit cuz he don't have one.

Naw, he probably does have one and just enjoys watching you prance
about, thinking he doesn't.

>Fukking kids are lazy

Lazy? Hell, it wasn't Rev taking the "let go, back out and slide over
a few slots" chickenshit method of going for an SCS. No, it seems
that Rev is just more interested in making jumps as opposed to sending
off for the trappings of affluence with which to impress other people.
No, it seems he decided that if anyone was going to be impressed by
anything, it was going to be by how he flew, not by some badge and a
number which even you (allegedly) attained - though I haven't seen
proof of that, either. Anyone can *say* they got the SCR but I want
to see the logbook and the sworn affidavit from seven other jumpers.
I'm thinking it's more bullshit, is all.

Just as you run *your* mouth - wait, that's unfair - no one runs their
mouth the way you run your mouth. Still, even if he had been running
his mouth, what's your angle? Unless you send in for the cookies from
Newell, he hasn't done an 8way?

>I knew he had to be pimp slapped to keep from being a full blown

Hell, it's not him taking the opportunity to go on and on (and on)
about you supposedly getting and SCR.

>so I asked a simple question then came the heming & haing, bottom line
>he dissed
>the award

No, he said he didn't need numbers. Now, *you*, upon hearing this bit
of obvious heresy concluded he was dissing the award. Just because
you find some sort of validation in the SCR doesn't mean others
automatically have to. Skydiving is about freedom - *not*
specifically and only jumping through some requisite hoops that one or
some believe ought to be for everyone.

>and I was on him like white on rice.

Yeah, right - he denied as relevant for him that which, in your
blinkered view, is relevant for you and therefore *must* be relevant
for everyone.

>
>>>ya know it don't mean as much after you get the falcon & eagle and D
>>>qualified, its
>>>something basically for the under a hundred jump people, a right of passage.

Sure, it's a right of passage but just because I (and you) believe it
to be so in no way whatsoever mitigates or denies that he has done an
8way. The only difference is he never bothered to send some stuff in
to get issued a number. You can't fathom this but then, you're a
wannabee who's exists only for validation and when others do what you
did not and do well not doing what you did, this lessens your own
sense of personal validation. To whit, when someone says they don't
need the number you take it as dissing the award. Well, piss on you -
that's just tough and you'll have to deal. You might start with not
being so anal for a change.

Well, that's all fine and dandy but that still does not change the
fact that he has done an 8way - just never sent in the stuff to
Newell.

As if garnering awards is the be all to end all - it's not like he's
out there *pretending* to have some award he does not have. Besides,
we're talking SCR's here and last I checked - it's a one point dive.

No, you're just self-centered.

The SCS/SCR is a memorial. The ONLY thing that "counts" is sending in
the paper work. That is the only way to become part of the living
memorial.

Actually, my point was proved - again. There's a lot to be said for
the BBMSCA but that said, the ONLY thing that "counts" is sending in
the paper work and when you get down to it, *anyone* can fill out that
form and mail it off.

Noticed he said, "...sending in the paper work." and not "taking grips
on an 8way."
