There are still lots of places that do static line FJCs. I did one
last year at North Texas Skydiving Center, Gainesville, TX. No more
round canopies, though.

There is now a DZ at Taft, Air Adventure West. They were flying a King
Air a few weeks ago, but I understand that they use a smaller aircraft
during the winter, when there are fewer jumpers.

Yeah, I went static line all the way...Just started two years ago
We used a 182, in Leauge City....5 SL's then a 5 sec FF and on up.
Beaumont still does the Static Line program and I believe Waller does too.

Most ex military old farts that get back in after 20 or 30 years would
rather
do the static line because they feel comfortable with it. That was the
way I felt
about it...If they had only had tandem and AFF I would have probably
passed it by.
