Well hell boy yew ain't no more a fun jumper than those yahoo's that come out,
drink up all the student beer and think first load artta be at 4pm then kin't
even
take a grip on their own ass much less a formation cuz
#1 they wer up all night partying
#2 their hung over
#3 4pm first loads don't allow them enuff daylight practice hours to learn how
to
skydive right.

If ya wanna make money open a pawn shop jerry...git rid of yer camera...go out
and make a few fun jumps or yew kin video the novice's flailing...show them the
tape, if they bring a blank, maybe run them one off from your master then re
record over it...Video can be a key teaching tool....this way yew
cud say it was a true hobby or that your giving back...Either stay a total
amature
and give back or go professional and take the BIC & JCC or run for the BOD and
get free donuts plus a few perks from the GM/DZO's----quit fukking around fence
sitting ya whore, become a slut! ;-*

It's all fun. Big time, small time, what the fuck. I still get to
skydive.

> AND
>#3 Never giving back

Which is not true because I do. Certainly not on every jump, every
day, or even every weekend but (if your present definition is) jumping
with novices? Sure. Sometimes. Maybe the present definition is not
charging for video? Sure. Sometimes. Maybe it's just merely buying
my own lift tickets. Sure, again. That happens, too.

But let's take it a step further - things you could do but don't: do
you go out to dropzones and give back, teach people how to pack,
organize dives, help with an exit launches, help with a post-dive
critiques, or give landing tips to the recently landed? Fuck no.
Why? Because 1) You have this ignorant (though comforting) notion
that skydiving has all gone to hell and it's clear by your responses
to the reality I write about that you can't handle the reality of the
situation, 2) You're worried what people might think when they saw you
- you admitted as much some time back, and 3) You know that your act
is nothing but that, an act - simply a line of rhetoric designed to
make you feel better about blundering your ass into a hospital and out
of the sport, and while you know that it is easy to sit behind a
computer monitor and castigate, it would be far more ludicrous for
your act to play live and in color, in front of a real audience.

By your assessement, maybe not but I never claimed to be. At least
until now - you see, when I'm funjumping, I most certainly am a
funjumper.

The only thing I re-record over are tandems, most of 'em anyway.
There's a few here and there which are special enough to keep. Money?
Fee for the service. I paid my dues in that regard and 1) people
don't have to have video and 2) I'm not the only video out there.
Strange, though, bearing that in mind that I still get asked to shoot
video. Fun jumps? I make them, too. Vids of novices flailing?
Sure, do that and do I charge novices? Most of the time, not really.
If they're a team training, yep. If it's a group of friends or a solo
and I feel the urge, sure but I'm just as likely to bag the camera and
take grips. It's happened before more than once and I've never
charged for dubs of anything. Ever.

>Video can be a key teaching tool....this way yew
>cud say it was a true hobby or that your giving back...

Yes, it can but herein lies a great difference in what drives me vs.
what drives you. You see - I feel no need to crow to the world, "Hey
everyone! Look at me! Look at me as I do what is a true hobby!
Observe, everyone as I give back! Take note as I leap through these
hoops and hop about on this one foot thus hopefully making myself
legitimate in your eyes and more self-confident with myself. Pay
attention to meeeeee!" Giving back is its own reward. If you're
doing it to impress other people, you've got your head up your ass..

>Either stay a total
>amature
>and give back or go professional and take the BIC & JCC or run for the BOD

Giving back? You'd have to ask the people at the dz who know me.
Amateur? Sure, I'd hate to have to be in the position of having to
jump when I didn't feel like it to make rent. Screw that.
Professional? After a fashion if consistancy and ability (through
lots of practice) is any indicator. No on the JCC and the BOD but
sure, I took the BIC years ago - from the very same Mike Turoff. From
my perspective the class was long and silly (I already knew how to
teach) but just the same, I'm glad I took it and Mike did teach me a
few things and techniques that I wasn't familiar with beforehand.

>and
>get free donuts plus a few perks from the GM/DZO's----quit fukking around fence
>sitting ya whore, become a slut! ;-*

Tell ya what - the day you come out to the dz and do your act live
will be the day I'll jump camera on my own nickle or not at all.
C'mon Buda Cup - I can deliver that promise. Let's see you do it.
Let's measure my suggested whorish desire to ripoff other jumpers vs.
your own ignorant wish to maintain the fiction.

What's more, I'll be at Waller all this weekend.

See you there, sweetie!

If I'm in the air when you show up, look for my canopy - Navy Blue (no
shit) with one white stripe towards one of the stablizers.

Oh yeah - what kind of beer (or liquor) does Big Earl like to drink?

I do too and I'll throw in a case of Shiner if he shows.

No such thing as a sure thing but it's a sure thing that this is
indeed as close to a sure thing that a sure thing can be.
