yeah to DZ.com. This time I had some respect for the one kicking me
off. Not like before when you have a wet behind the ears baby
slapping my hands. Bill Von got me this time, and his opinion, I
respect. He gave me 15 days, so because I respect him so much,

First thing to remember when fighting mammon & those who love
it--------->Never Slack Up. I had to whip on some of my VNN people in
the supporting platoons with a bamboo stave for slacking off on the
suppression fire while the platoons were practicing fire and maneuver
together. It left the last platoon coming out with their wounded in a
bad situation. If you think evil money grubbing bottom feeders like
that pair care about the sport or respecting the S.E.'s loss or
anything else, you got another think coming kid, they see it as
weakness to be exploited just as any enemy would. Keep up the counter
attack. Lock mercy in the closet. You can try to look nice after their
cut out from the sport like cancer and totally annihilated. fuck now

I go over and see what their talking about every few months for
recondo purposes but rarely bother to talk to any one and if I do--its
generally someone I recognize or jumped with years ago & its by Dizzy
dot com e-mail function. It makes it harder for the moderators to be

unless they are Ben or Cary with a secret identity.
In some cases it would seem the people trying to justify the "business
model" are part of the boiler-room operation. Since the first target
of a con-man's pitch is the con-man himself, my guess is that you have
people saying the same things they say to themselves in order to be
able to look themselves in the mirror.
Since a lot of vitriol does not tend to win friends and influence
people, rising to the bait is rather pointless. Billy Vance is so
pissed at the nice folks at Cedartown that people assume he's
exaggerating (he isn't).
The best way to address the problem is not likely to be a frontal
assault. Getting Bill to stop accepting Skyride business would be a
good start.

Copping a skygoddy attitude on me huh? 30 laps on a flat track ain't
nothing, in training we had to run a timed 6 miles before breakfast in
combat boots, no jogging shoes allowed for PT in those days (matter of
fact I don't think they had been invented yet) and just to make it
interesting the Cadre spread out along the route & had us do 75 push
ups every mile. Then they upped the runs to 3 times a day and started
making it more difficult...You know adding packs filled with sand and
rifles carried at port arms during the noon run to make us sweat.
Their crowning moment was when some insane lifer came up with the idea
of running us through the trees when the K-9's had come in for the
evening feed and were tied up to them-----better not act like you were
going for your K-bar or butt stroke one of those dogs with your piece
or try to kick it is all I can say. Yeah you modern kids are snot
nosed & such softy's because no ones around any more that cares about
you enough to provide some old style tough love. 0~;)P

Yuh, I not only read it but think about what yawl say even Jerry's
whining. I realize I'm at least a century behind in my thinking and it
don't translate to most modern people but what the hell, it was my
century and I loved the cars that came along with it.
As far as the training being more brutal, we were used to harsh
conditions and not as hip as you youngsters seem to be about what your
rights are. I've been unfair handing out laps....It occurs to me the
track around the football field when I was in High School was 4 laps
to a mile. One lap would kill peanut if he even thought about it.
And I'm asking you to run 7 1/2 miles for giving nut boy sympathy.
Just ain't fair. They might have run us 18 to 24 miles a day but it
was broken down to 6 mile increments----the crazy bastards had other
things they had to fit in....Like push ups,
set ups and class's. Yep I don't blame you for telling me to stuff it
so tell you what I'm going to do, just run 4 laps and quit babying nut
boy-----him? Dunno I'm thinking maybe a switching in front of God and
everybody would do him more good! Yawl have fun and be safe this week
end kid.....Hose a load on the spot just for old snuff because that

Got screwed out of my next three-day weekend. The madness has already
begun for us at the shop. Management decided to gift us with a short-
handed work staff to handle holiday overload, so it's job security
time/overtime (hopefully kept by me, and not stolen at the end of the
work week by 'time management'- when they cut your time to keep you
from going over 40 hrs- common practice by managers) for me.
Thanksgiving day they give us off....

Yeah,,, i have already had a couple come sniffing around about "lookey
at me over at skyride", I get every fourth jump free. I just have
have to jump by myself with a plane load of tandems..
But you're right,,, I need to start paying better attention. I've

I still like the frontal assault because of my personal dis-taste for
their sleezy methods of hurting people just drives me wild. Then
after they hurt people they say things like, "look what good people we
are".
This organization of flim-flam is still in operation after all these
years. When will it stop.? It will stop, as it did with ballooning,
when all the balloon people ban together and stop taking the
Certificates. Skydive DZO's must do the same thing. OR people will
continue to be hurt by them.

infection of the whole organization- even the whole sport; and if they
(the DZO's) could and did band together it would help a lot, but who
among us will not/does not spread the word that they feel is correct

Mike can't help me, he's just another elderly guy I happen to like. We
share some of the same era and come out of a tougher
generation....Theres a lot to admire about Mike. He was a Marine when
being a Marine still meant something. I followed the posts on his boss
over the years also. Billy D's a spoiled rich brat and tends to be a
hot head. Working for him can't be that easy yet Mikes stuck with him
while right up the road in the Bay Area their was a up scale Tandem
Mill with better facility's and pay probably, yet Mikes remained loyal
to Lodi. Another point in his favor! I spent time in the old Oakland
Army Hospital being put back together physically---they taught me to
walk again in a swimming pool.
Went to some schools at the Presido and on T.I.----pulled Liberty in
the San Francisco Bay Area many times and its nice up there kid. Who
knows why I like some people and not others------Loyalty and age and
common experiences is often a big issue. You can never tell though I
like some young people also----perhaps because they remind me of team

some harsh training and we both were on Okinawa at one time or

OOPS Don't get that shit started again, their 5326's I believe. I was
a 9027, thats something entirely different. We lived along the river
with the Vietnamese acting as Force Multipliers. The SEALS in I Corps
stayed in Navy facilities up in DaNang when not running a mission. I
only saw two of them on my 1969 tour and that was in a whore house. My
first trip to Vietnam in 1960? Their were no SEALS, they hadn't been
created yet. I think they were authorized by Kennedy in 1962....Now,
they have enough men & platoons to do all the underhanded shit. Before
that fleet sailors were pulled out and trained as CoVans and Beach
Jumpers plus a few other odd things to do a lot of what the NSWFG does
now. Frog men mainly did beach surveys and beach obstacle clearance
back then. Although they did do some inland raids in the Korean War,
you know......blowing tunnels, ripping out railroad tracks in the
desperate hours when the UN was on the ropes to fuck up the NOK's
supply line and get some breathing space till more troops were bought
in. I've watched them on Sat T.V. Their weapons are modern & a lot
better but they don't fire and maneuver much different than we
did.....They run through a lot of firing drills. A old CoVan must have
wrote their land warfare manual...Thats the way we trained our
indigenous troops...we broke them down into six man Platoons also.
Thing about those F&M drills, they look pretty but after first contact
with the enemy
any plan you had......goes out the window and seeing their was two
different languages going on our Hashee's were trained to follow hand
signals, the CoVan would skulk around behind them giving hand signals,
Forward, fall back, 3rd platoon take all the dead and wounded, first
and 2nd platoons leapfrog & lay down cover fire----- go left....go
right, counter attack----not to far into their center we only have two
platoons now, come back dammit, di di, we go back to river quick now.
Stop here...dig in, were fighting a holding action till the attack
aircraft arrive.(first time I said that I felt foolish, their were at
least 200 enemy and we started out with 18 men, lucky FAC pulled some
Cobra's out of his hat and got our Bacon out of the fire. But those
drills had good effect as far as everybody knowing where their slot
was and what sector was their responsibility, when to give supporting
fire, what was expected of them etc etc etc We dirt dived the shit out
of things just like skydivers....casting out (the exit), the retrieve
(getting back on the boats). They never left anybody or anything
behind, not even a dead body or a weapon. I was proud of the blood
thirsty little bastards! they were like pit bulls. Getting them to
let go of the enemy was the hard part but otherwise? The SVN military
types got a bad rap as a whole IMHO.

I preferred sea duty, somehow I got pulled into a River Adviser/Combat
slot.
Called my detailer at Bupers and he said, "sorry the computer keeps
spitting out your punch card." when we ask it for certain skills to
fill these slots ;( blame it on the fukking computer----man by then I
hadn't been to sea since 1964. My rate had
passed me by....but I kept passing those tests and making rank. Once
thought of signing my name rank and serial number to a blank
advancement test to see what happened but I chickened out. ;)P
