My worry is the wind. It was blues skies today and supposed to be
tomorrow but the winds were too high for any jump today, let alone a
demo. Tomorrow they're supposed to slow down considerably and I really
hope they do. I hate calling a demo for winds on an otherwise nice
day. They understand when it's a thunderstorm or something but not
nice blue skies. You get that "but I thought you had one of those new
square parachutes where it doesn't matter." The one demo I had to
scratch this year was for wind and the guy was a relentless about it.
Even after I pointed out that the wind was just as likely to slam me
into his crowd of friends as a tree he kept at it and I finally just
left. He had all kinds of food and stuff but I got the feeling I
shouldn't be eating. Besides, the wind kept picking up people's loaded
plates and tossing them onto the others at the table. That should have
been the guy's first clue but you know the saying "anything's possible
when you don't know what you're talking about."
Wish us luck and good weather.
I for one wish Bob luck and know he will do the right thing-----Which
would be not to let the Wuffo's push him into a below minimums jump.
How ever it turns out I'm hoping Bob is careful how he dramatizes the
story. We don't want this Tony fellow to have a conniption fit.....I
can see it now "Demo diver makes the jump and a wreck reader injures
himself reading about it. ROFL MAO 0~;-)
