I don't know iffin yew heard, but I"ve been over there courting the
folks at DZ.com. I have to admit, that those people over at dz.com
may be right about this one thing. They be saying dat the rec.dot is
dead. I believe they may be right cause the top talk over seems to
be my lil general HOW embarasing? Even my pappy has to rub it in.
But anyway, I was having trouble posting over there in dz.com.-->
Seems everything I posted, ended up in the recycle bin. Granted, you
know me, and i'm sure you agree with me--->,, "that I probably deserved
it" heheheheh --
But anyway, I digress,, So I decided to start a test a thread and post
some nice nonsense over there--and see how long I could post on it.
It lasted 8 posts, and surprisingly, it did NOT end up in the recycle
bin. yippee yahoooo I was thinking-- Then I noticed LLLLL, dat thing
showed up missing in Action. Totally gone. I can't find it anywhere.
Do you think them moderators are trying to tell me something?

Shit, you in't fooling me boy....I been on Army bases back in the
1950's
and 60's....looked like a common shower in the Barracks to me, the Navy
might have been tighter we slept 60 men to a barracks bay ashore back
then but each deck had its own shower room....When I went in the
training command barracks were wooden and single story, had coal or
wood stoves down in Little Creek...by the time I got out they were
concrete and two story
with central oil fired furnaces....Air Conditioning was unheard of
course
Had it better than the Jarheads, they were still living in Quansont
huts
ashore---I only stayed in one overseas once and that was in transit
;)P

Thats why you had to stand and fight more dan i did. You couldnt run
carrying something like that, LLLL,, I"m just glad it was easy to
run,duck and dodge while crawling under picknik tables to keep from
getting hurt. oh yeah, did i mention, I usually kept running my mouth
from under the pick nick table? giggle, it makes them hurt
themselves.

Since its only me and you over here- figure I can spread some pretty
true gossip from de southland. The rats are leaving the ship in a
hurry over dar in Jargah, and skydive bums are scattering everywhere
looking for a free cigarette and beer. Course, they will give you a
quick pack job for 5 dollars. Do yall need any help in Texas?
LLLL,, i figure i'm going to have to start locking my camper and make
Lucky keep her clothes on, till all the dust settles. I"ve moved back
to Bama till its all over. Cullman has 15 dollar jumps for Memorial
day.

quality Tandem-AFF- Packing Ho's there in Texas?
Rome is still hanging in there by the seat of DZO's pants., Hard to
get a load up now days, summer has been extreme hot here, and there are
no shade trees at rome.. Party life has dwindled to nothing. The Farm
is 20 miles down the road, so most up-skydivers are ending up there.
The DZO is a bit hard headed about some issues, and money is tight for
him. He is doing the best he can, but, its just hard for him to
compete under his current circumstances.
We need to stay home in bama for a while. Get to know the home turf
again. A whole new bunch of rookies to corrupt. I got me a nice
place to park the doghouse away from the FBO and other jump operations.
Keeping the tree peoples philisophy alive. Even though, I aint seen
no trees in year or so. I think the only two left is me and dat one
witch faye who's always breaking my balls about something. Chuckles,,

Dunno ain't been out to the DZ in 5 years, when I retired in 96 packing
was pretty well covered up on the DZ loop I covered and in the family
ie... SDH, SDSM, SDD and Beaumont. Better look for a real job boy!

I've seen a lotta up skydivers hook up and fall out, even when both the
Yin and Yang is hooked on the sport----a few mature couples stick with
it....but young love cain't stand the competition thats always around

What did Don git that last time 10 votes or was it 1 ha ha? Kids and
skydivers in general tend to vote for well known skydivers that they
don't know at all, people who tend to run have hidden motives or an Ax
to grind
Going to get in and change the USPA HA....How can you change something
you've been corrupted by? The USPA is steered by the bigger buisness
interests, prior leaders put all their egg's in one basket hoping for a
trickle down to the grass roots skydiver and dues payer...Didn't happen
so they threw a few crumbs like that coaching thing which played right
into the Empire building DZO's hands. Many smaller DZ's have gone under
over the years, thats another thing as in all politics the funds to
protect and build up DZ's is not applied in a even manner, I know my
first home DZ SPX Leauge
City didn't receive much hlp in resisting the Leauge City FBO's plan to
git rid of the DZ making the City Airport less profitable so a real
estate deal
would look good---NOW THE WHOLE FREAKING AIRPORT IS GONE! The Lake
Anuach thing was just poor demographics & buss pratices on the DZO's
part, the city of Anuach bent over backwards to help the man...Linsey
wasn't even a skydiver, just a pilot...he went with the skydivers who
blew the most smoke

People who need moderators are usually the type that can hand it out
but not take it---weak ass loosers if ya ask me....BOZO had me fooled
at first, a real politician---uses catch phrases but he ain't got no
bottom...I researched his Navy shit----poor, didn't even go to
sea...stayed a boot,
rode it out on shore duty, never went overseas....one short hitch as a
gopher not even working in his rate---- hid then lied about a physical
defect to get in the Navy---he wasn't happy with the Navy and they
weren't happy with him but they made him serve out his term in general
dutys, HOW IT MUST HAVE CHAPPED HIS EGOTISTICAL YOUNG ASS HAW HAW
HAW....He's still trying to recapture what he missed being a skate in
the USN, Joined some Army Reserve ceremonial outfit or something. I'll
tell you about the Navy, it can be tough lonely duty but you get back
what you put into it...I had a hard time of it myself the first few

away (the 6 months of Messcooking for refusing to take the advancement

Never take the fall for somebody else, I think that honor amoung
theives thing is bullshit and their is little honor amoung skydivers,
maybe a few of the leftovers from the old days who have nothing left to
prove but from the 80's on? Look around you, everybodys competing on
the DZ. For what? To be in the in crowd, for slots-you name it ~think
carefully about this~

Like me? Hell although I wuzzn't a USPA poster boy I only bent BSR's,
did go outright into breaking them, just looked like it because I
pushed the edge harder to get ahead---bout had to, was in my 50's when
I went to FJC and to
city people who mostly led mundane lives untill taking up the sport I
musta looked like a wild man. War and my training had changed me, had
little in common with most of the momma's boys from the city...I took
calculated risks
just like in river warfare, only difference was I had learned to take
my loss's get up and go on...A lotta over protected Americans cain't
deal with that---I saw most of the bigest bitchers (not counting the
S&TA who had a duty & right to bitch) it was mostly the same people as
projecting their own fears because I had something they didn't
have----iron nerves. Quite a few skydivers are pussys at heart, look at
the way they fight ~10 paces and scream at each other~ or "somebody
hold be back" hahahahaha----but all in all
I ended up telling Novices not to do what I did, don't do this, don't
do that! Musta been the old man in me---Rarely hollered at them cause I
didn't often listen to whiners & screamers myself, never ran to the DZO
or S&TA, just explained the pitfalls on that path and then added "just
a thought"
Browbeating people is not a good teaching tool, nor efficent leadership
tool

Reading people then use of what you read to head them off at the pass
is the
thing to do.....it works against both enemys of the state & skygods

Things got too rough over here for most people. I have to agree with
them also. We were kaos running too wild. The good natured stuff we
did was good, but the mean nasty hurting things that people said, was
simply unacceptable to most. Some people got damn mean,, other people
reacted negative with it,, it all flowed more and more people getting
involved and getting hurt in the process. Life is too short to be mean
to anyone. There are many things even I wish I could take back. To
anyone i've hurt, i'm genuinely sorry. I pucked up,,, Time to go on..

was you can't really blame them. The thesis swayed to the left-- and
people went for moderation. WELLL,, I believe the thesis will
eventually swing back toward free speech. Chuckles,, Most of my post
on DZ.com seem to end up in the recycle bin. A regular Nazi type of
moderation will/has develop. Absolute power corrupts absolutely , ect
ect. People are going to get tired of that one day too.
When the anti-thesis swings back---I only hope, that we will remember
what happened here before, and work towards that "good old fashioned
love thy skybrother attitude" will prevail.

I was sharing some of Gawd golden Nectar at the last puke boogie at the
farm a week or so ago. He said the word was "They have bought Mike Igo
out" They, whoever They is, made an offer to set him up in a new
location. Much better facilities ect ect. Course dis is all rumor,
and only Mike can make any announcements on anything. Just a rumor
spoken over gawds goldent nectar.

ask, don't tell." law;. I mean its so obvious he's a girly boy---prolly
wouldn't have made it through the modern, shorter time out version of
bootcamp anyway, mine was I forget either 11 or 13 weeks long, no
mercy. They were allowed to kick the shit out of you back then---Right
up into the middle 60's I witnessed that...not enuff money in serving
yer country to satisfy bottom feeders anyway----sooooooo he will remain

Hell the Navy sent me a letter and asked me to come back in as a
coastal & river warfare instructor when south America heated up durning
the Iran-Contra deal, knew they were desperate, didn't know they were
that desperate though ;)

They were memorable....I had never gone up against something like
that before,
the Navy way or no way heh heh, it was a wakeup call for a 17 year
old drop out.

Don't lump the rest of the skydivers in.....some were pretty decent
back when I belonged to the USPA, Sure the Majority just went along to
get along handing out empty platitudes like ole Jimbo, but still not
all bad....Thing is the sorry ass's were really sorry mfer's-the sport
can bring the worst and best out in people if they can overcome the ego
issues, unfortunately you came in with no best in you at all ya young

Well if he got his aircraft, student rigs out in time sounds like he
will be alright....Don't look good all the way from N.O.LA to Mobile,
Gold Coast was a bit to the east of Mobile I'm thinking, used to go
that way
before I-10 was built....got behind a load of hogs on the old two lane
road between the nearest town after ya git out of Mobile and rode
behind that load of pigs to Pensacola...Sumbody had fed them sugar
beets before loading up...Ahhhhhh the good ole days 18 wheels, and a 10
speed with a Georgia overdrive, Teamster flop hat on with my shiney
union badge right up front, making all of 12 cents a mile & 2.50 a
hour.
