A friend of mine is planning to take his family on a ski trip to the USA
over christmas 2008.

He is an experienced skier but his wife and two early-teenage kids haven't
skied before. Does anyone have any suggestions for a family based US ski
resort with good skiing for beginners, together with alternative family
recreational activities - swimming etc?
