Hello,

I'm hoping to get some advice about an MSR stove that I just purchased
used. I was told that it was the XGK, but on closer examination, it
turns out that it is the GK Blue (with flint starter).

I have a few questions about the stove (assuming there are those that
know about these things)

1) Is it a multi-fuel stove?
2) Will the XGK service kit work with this stove?
3) What type of pump does it take?
4) Will it give me a year of constant service (going on a trip and may
need to use it everyday for about a year)?

Any information about this old stove would be appreciated.

Or...should I be trying to get my money back off the person I bought
it from? The princely sum of $25.00

Thank you for any information.

Do you have 2 jet nozzles?
One labeled G for gasoline and another labeled K for kerosene?
It should have a fuel pre-heating loop as well.

Should.

MSR's.

Treat it well and it should.
Should be field mantainable.

Get the 18 page instruction manual?

Make certain the pump, didn't you get a pump?, fuel bottle combo thread.

Depends on era. Might be a little pricey for some older models.
Cheaper than new. If you just got a burner, then you are lacking quite
a number of pieces. To say nothing of the condition of pieces (known
failure or maintenance problems).
