Do people really buy into this? I'm not debating the facts in the
blog, but it's not a balanced article. Where are the facts about what
the Democrats did for non-whites? And in doing these 15 things does
the author suggest that Republicans continue to do well for visual
minorities in all aspects of life, liberty and happiness? Or that they
do more than Democrats? These are impressions left by the author that
are not backed up by fact.
I think the point that Dean was making was that Republicans tend to
favour the wealthy, the very wealthy. This leads to a growing gap in
wealth which statistically leaves mostly white people at the top and a
lot of visible minorities at the bottom. Dean is trying to grow
support from the visual minorities since favouring the wealthy tends
to hurt, or at least not help visual minorities.
