Still, I'd love to do my part to repatriate downed American fliers.
If anyone wants to fund my trip to Palau, I'll volunteer my time to
search for plane wrecks among the coral reefs.

We get US bone hunters here all the time. There are wrecks everywhere and
when new ones are found they send out people to try and recover the remains.
Usually end up with about a teacup full of shards to ship home to the USA.
