Stayed downtown at the Hyatt Key West. Very nice resort and very close
to duval st. and all the marinas. Went diving with the dive shop
located at the Hyatt. Southpoint Divers had a great boat. It was the
nicest me and my husband have ever been on. We did an afternoon reef
dive with them and saw all kinds of sharks, stingrays, eels and even
saw dolphins on the way back in. The crew were very patient with us as
we are new divers. We werent rushed off the boat and it was very easy
to get on and off. They had two ladders, fresh water showers and all
the amenities. The head was broken that day but otherwise everything
went great. They told us they do a wreck dive every morning and we had
never done a wreck before. We did Joes Tug in about 65' of water. They
set up a line system so that it was easy to get to the wreck and the
dive breif was very thorough. I had problems equalizing and the
divemaster who helps everyone get down was there right there with me.
The shop was located right across the street and they had a very nice
staff there as well.
I would highly reccomend diving with Southpoint Divers in Key West.
Great shop, great crew, great boat.
