Galapagos diving from naturalist cruises?

Does anyone know if sanity has been restored?
For those not aware, all diving was suddenly disallowed from all but
dedicated dive boats last September.
I had planned to visit the islands last Christmas but backed out,
largely because of this botch. I had hoped that things would be sorted
out before I needed to book for Christmas '08. That time is drawing
near and updates are proving hard to find.
