# Please tell us about your training week and goals.

6 days on 1 off for a total of about 45/48 miles?

Ran today with both daughters ( first time in a long time with
both ) ... nice run late sunday afternoon in Berea metroparks.

Raced saturday night at 7 pm ( just 2nd 5k of the year ) ... more on
that later in a separate post maybe.

Good luck all!

Pretty much the same as in previous weeks; I had to take an extra day off
because of mild food poisoning or stomach virus, or something.

Goals unchanged.

Ran a club 8k trail race. Challenging course with a couple of
serious climbs. Managed 35:01 which was 3/35 after
being about 7th place at half-way. 3 of the runners went out
too fast and suffered, and had a nice chase after another runner,
and managed to pass him on the final climb with a few 100 meters
to the finish...

Besides that ran a 20k long trail run on another day.

Signed up for a 20k trail race in 2.5 weeks and a 17k trail
race in Oz at the end of next month...

Anthony. Efrat, Israel.

another full 7days running, though the total miles is down, only slightly over 13miles.

Did end the week on the track 16x100m with the goal of 30second sprint and 60second recovery intervals. But this time I tried the high school track. It felt so good I actually ended up running faster, but with a corresponding increase in recovery interval. I averaged under 26seconds but recovery quickly climbed to close to 90 seconds. I may have to go back to the middle school track and see if I can reproduce this fast pace there.

Signed up for the Twinsburg Twins Days 5K.

1 ~12Mile trail run, focusing on an easy stride with no ITB or hip
flexor tweaks, 2 hill repeat sessions with 8 & 10 ~1min reps, with some
simple core exercises & foam rolling mixed in. 50miler on the weekend, on a
course where I always defeat myself by not consuming enough early and being
too tense.

Sorry, I am a little late, but thought this might be
interesting. Photo report from the Great Wall Marathon.

Pictures of myself are commercial. All other pictures
are mine.

The Wall portion of the distance was about four miles,
but it cost me about hour and a half extra compared to my
typical marathon times.
Actually, this was two mile portion run twice: in the
beginning of the course and again at about mile 20. Whew.
That was tough.

Great photos. Thanks for posting.
So how does it compare to the Jerusalem marathon?
Although 200 meters elevation in 500 meters is crazy....

Anthony.

Thanks, Anthony.
The Wall portion is what makes it very different. Otherwise
it would be more or less comparable in terms of elevation gain.
Basically, if not to count the wall, it is one big hill about
600 feet high. You can see the elevation data from my Garmin here:

Thank you!
Yes, I forced myself not to grimace when I saw a photographer.
