think?... So people before then like Pre must have ran on shoes with a
very thin sole, just look at bowerman's custom shoes for Pre on the
track, they don't have any cushion!
I'd like to know this too. I guess it's much like running barefoot,
and plimsolls are a great deal cheaper than a pair of Vibrams Five
Fingers! I think the real issue is to build up to running barefoot
and learn how to do it without injuring yourself.

1970s! That was when Nike invented the market for cushioned soles.
What interests me is the reports that cushioned soles have not
decreased the rate or injuries :D
