F-M.FM ”'s “ Full ” product is infinitely better than AOL.COM,
and it costs only 20 dollars per year .. but you may feel otherwise.

Quite unlike you, I'm a hard-core “ code poet ”,
a professional coder since the start of 1982.

F-M.FM's eMail has “ SubDomain Addressing ” ( i.e. unlimited aliases ),
and its ftp&web hosting is very advanced. My website: JeffRelf.F-M.FM

Dizzy, you're new to all this, aren't you. A "troll" is a
newsgroup post that attempts to "push your buttons".

The person who sends the trolling post is a "troller".
The term comes from the old fisherman's practice of
letting the line trail behind a moving boat.

In all fairness, the term "troll" has more recently been
applied to the trolling poster, as if s/he were the little
mean elf from under the bridge. But that's not the
original usage of "troll" here on UseNet.

Jeff is neither an idiot nor a troller. The cross-posting
was done by a previous poster and Jeff had responded.
The practice of cross-posting is common on UseNet. It
does not necessarily denote trolling.

I suggest that you lurk and learn more about UseNet,
and after that, *then* you can post about things you
know very little about! (like the rest of us)

Why welcome Mr. “ Dizzy ” to Alt.Astronomy ?

He lives in the Bay Area, near San Jose California.
He dreams of fancy cars and he reads Rec.Running, not Alt.Astronomy.
He has fully plonked me because he can't “ Muffle** ” nyms, like I do.
** “ Muffling ” is explained at my website: “ JeffRelf.F-M.FM ”.

He's using a borked newsreader, Forte Agent.
Advanced newsreaders handle UTF-8 .. a decades-old standard.
My newsreader, X.EXE, automates Visual Studio's plain-text editor.

Apparently, my plain-text/UTF-8 website pissed him off.
If he has a website, he didn't mention it.

I'm glad you asked, Mz. V!

The Chief is presently leader of all the remaining
natural-born Americans residing in Mishisota. They
still hunt and fish on the banks of the Krifotia River,
high in the mountains of Farratesh. Chief Crazy Goo
was named for the tree sap his mother used to keep
her stuff together. Crazy Goo married well. The
daughter of his tribe's greatest shaman chose him to
become the leader of her father's people, the brave
Chikauwah.

Crazy Goo has led his people through thick and thin.
In battle he surely and straightly lives up to his first
name. His squaw made him get her a computer in
their first year. And soon, due to the elements, she
had troubles with her keyboard. Hence the famous
quote above.

I'll be sure to tell her that you asked after the Chief.
Thank you, and have an extremely nice day!

It's also true that if your house key sticks, and you're dying to get
inside, the urge to pee increases exponentially.

Ideas branch deep and wide, like roots, connecting us all.
Quoting WikiPedia:
“ Pando ( or The Trembling Giant ) is a clonal colony of a single
male Quaking Aspen ( Populus tremuloides ) tree located in the
U.S. state of Utah, all determined to be part of a single living
organism by identical genetic markers and one massive
underground root system.

The plant is estimated to weigh collectively [ 6,615 tons ],
making it the heaviest known organism. ”

“ males grow slower than females, and
aspens grow slower at higher elevations
– Pando is at [ 8,848 ft ] above sea level ”

“ Indeed, some biologists feel that western clones could be
as old as 1 million years ( Barnes 1966, 1975 ). ”

“ The clonal colony encompasses [ 107 acres ] and
has around 47,000 stems, which continually die and
are renewed by its roots. ”

“ Despite enormous crops of viable seeds,
successful seedling establishment appears to be
a rare event in the semiarid West ”

To cut down on over-usage,
Libraries at the University of Wahsington block non-students
from accessing places like: AOL's and Yahoo's email.

You can get free ( possibly unblocked ) email at “ F-M.FM ”.
When you pay 20 dollars per year for the “ full ” account,
you also get very advanced, ad-free hosting ( e.g. FTP ).

"The Animal Rescue" is too late for thousands of species, and it'll be
too late for the next thousand species. Would you like to talk about
those extinct and/or soon to be the death of plants within our humanly
damaged environment?

Humans alone are responsible for the vast bulk of extinctions within
the past thousand years, including a few specialized within our own
species.

We have also gone through nearly half of our fossil and geochemical
energy resources within just the past few hundred years, as well as
diatoms are not at half of their populations. Way to go, humanity.

The ongoing body deaths and other trauma count pertaining to the
obtaining, processing, transporting and consumer use of carbon fuels
is yet another unacceptable high price that should be eliminated, or
at least cut down to the dull roar of taking under 10% it's current
level. Homes and noncommercial structures should be all-electric, as
should 33% of cars and light trucks.

Once we can take proper care of ourselves, we can then take better
care of the plants, animals and environment which humanity has
impacted. Of course the Zionist/Nazis and their army of pretend-
Atheists and brown-nosed puppets will always disagree.

There are lots of people out there helping to solve
these and other problems, Brad, including "The Animal
Rescue Site". You change the things you can change,
and you try not to whine too much about the things you
can't change. And somewhere in the middle there you
can even spend some time attempting to change things
you might or might not be able to change.

Blaming "humanity" as a whole is a form of bigotry, too.
It's not the fault of all humanity when bad things happen.
Nor will all humanity be able to come up with solutions.
However, there are lots of people out there helping to
solve all the challenges we face. Look for them. They
*are* out there, and they could use all the assistance
and helpful ACTION they can get.

I think it was the great Janet Jackson who said,...

Dog Beaten with Hammer Will March in Parade

Murphy, an Australian shepherd, will be an honorary golden retriever
in Chick-fil-A Bowl parade
By APRIL HUNT

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
December 30, 2008

Murphy — the dog who suffered severe head injuries after being bashed
in the head with a sledgehammer earlier this month — will showcase his
amazing recuperation as part of the Chick-fil-A Bowl parade Wednesday
in downtown Atlanta.

The Australian shepherd will walk with the Golden Retriever Rescue of
Atlanta as part of the 1.25-mile parade from the Georgia Dome to the
World Congress Center.

Murphy was injured after being bashed with a sledgehammer earlier this
month. His former owner has been charged.Recent headlines:

Atlanta and Fulton County news Robert Kennedy, who found the 9-year-
old dog near death in Murphey Candler Park in Dunwoody Dec. 2 and is
now Murphy’s foster owner, also has two golden retrievers that he
already planned to bring to the parade.

“He’ll be a retriever for a day,” Kennedy said.

Auld Lang Syne

SHOULD auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to min'?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And days o' lang syne?

We twa hae rin about the braes,
And pu'd the gowans fine;
But we've wander'd monie a weary fit
Sin' auld lang syne.

We twa hae paidl't i' the burn,
Frae mornin' sun till dine;
But seas between us braid hae roar'd
Sin' auld lang syne.

And here 's a hand, my trusty fiere,
And gie's a hand o' thine;
And we'll tak a right guid-willie waught
For auld lang syne.

And surely ye'll be your pint-stowp,
And surely I'll be mine;
And we'll tak a cup o' kindness yet
For auld lang syne!

For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet
For auld lang syne.
