Live coverage of the marathon was essentially non-existent. What coverage there was in the morning news shows was mainly about the security measures. I finally found newsnet5.com had a streaming video of the finish line. So I got to see the winners briefly.

The female winner was apparently a surprise.

Sorry I don't have more details.

If anyone ran one of the races today, how about posting a race report sometime this week?

enjoy the run.

It is really sad how un competitive this race is now. Way back when a
ton of people under 3 hours ...

Lots of participants do not make for much racing apparently.

The prize money being offered is also really pathetic ... which causes
a lack of fast runners trying to make some money.

It has turned into one of the complete a thons not really much of a
race.

That's just the way marathoning rolls these days I guess ...

Ed you did not miss much!

Did they extend finishing time for the marathon? Back when I did it, they were closing things up just behind me (I finished in 5:19).

Well as a back of the pack runner, there still is some racing going on back there. But generally you are right. A large number of folks just wanting to complete a race.

Looks like 2863 results for the marathon. The half marathon count surprises me: 9139 results. (It's not clear if these are all finishers)

Still it would be nice to see the leaders for more than the 30 seconds or so they were in sight of the finish line camera.

oh well.
