Best Route from Chattanooga to Holiday World and suggestions
|
| |
I used to frequent here about 10 years ago or so and I doubt anyone remembers me. Anyway I live in Chattanooga and am wanting to go to an amusement park I have never been to so right now I am leaning strongly toward Holiday World. What I am wondering how would be the best route to Holiday World from Chattanooga. I know would have to take I-24 to Nashville and hit I-65 however would it be easier to go to Louisville and take I-64 or go to Bowling Green and follow the Green River Parkway to Owensboro and then US 231 on up to Santa Claus? Or is there an easier route I have not picked up?... more »

I'll add here to keep RRC hanging on.
Memorial Day weekend, my home park received and tried out a big skillet that came from Silver Dollar City. I checked it out just as they were putting some frozen ground beef on it. They are making "Street Tacos" 3 for $8.00. I was told they would give out samples. Needless to say, I did not go back later to give it a try so have no idea how big or mhat you really get for eight bucks. I guess I am not typical Enthusiast. :-)... more »

Holiwood Nights

Is it me or is there little interest in the Holiday World event this
year or for that matter the past 2 years. I have not seen any posts
about attendance for this years events here or within any other
coaster related sites. Has interest in this and other coaster/park
events gone away from the coaster community?... more »

Which one is the better deal for a season pass: Cedar Fair or Six Flags ?
|
| |
I don't know if this has been dicussed on RRC or not so I'm asking
for your opinions. A Six Flags season pass is around $65 and it gets
you into all Six Flags parks(except separate-gate water parks,Six
Flags Wild Safari and Six Flags Great Escape Lodge and Indoor
Waterpark). A Cedar Fair Platinum pass costs around $180 and gets... more »

TR: Cedar Point (5/28/2012)

With our trips to the two finest zoological parks in Ohio taken care
of, we went to its best amusement park. Free entry for ex-military
meant that Jim (my mother’s fiance, mentioned in the last two TRs)
could enter for free and get a discount for her as well. At $18 a head
for them to get in, it wasn’t difficult to convince them to make the... more »

TR: Columbus Zoo (5/26/2012)
|
| |
Last year, my wife and I made our first ever collective visits to the
Columbus Zoo to partake in what is considered one of the nation's best
Zoos. We were so enamored with it, we made the decision to make it a
yearly trip as part of our ever busy schedule. In this instance, we
merged it with another need (visiting my mom and her fiancé Jim) and... more »
