Annoucing the newest member of the Alvey family: Christopher David.

Born at 9:56am on March 28th, 2001. Weighing in at 6lbs, 14oz.

Sarah is doing GREAT. The doctor said she had a 'marathon' labor, and she made
the whole thing look 'too easy'. She was in and out of labor in about the same
amount of time people waited in line for Hypersonic on the media day!

I have posted pictures of this morning's activities at:

http://www.geocities.com/robbalvey/cda.htm

Christopher's first park visit will most likely be SFGadv opening next Sat,
possibly followed by a day at PKD on Sunday. Look forward to seeing everyone
there and showing off the baby!

Cheers.

Such great news!!! As long as everyone is doing great then there is nothing in
this world that is greater then a new born. Mine will 19 months and will be going
to PKD sometime this summer. BTW...I only waited about 15 minutes for
Hypersonic...lol

Everyone has to go look at these pictures. Christopher is adorable! I
maintain the fact though that Robb is not the father, the kid is way too cute
and has no chest hair!

Anyway I can't wait to see the whole gang at SFGAd opening day, that is if they
don't take up a ride all to themselves...How many kids do you have now Robb???

Congrats!!!

Now get back to the hospital and be nice to the wife!

Robb, Sarah and the rest of the Alvey herd I wish to offer you monster
congratulations on the birth of Christopher! Babies kick ass and he
looks pretty kick ass to me! It looks like Bond now has another
little Alvey to play with at the parks!

If you guys keep it up you will be able to fill a coaster train in a few years

Congratulations to the whole Alvey family. Sarah, you continually
amaze me - I don't remember being able to even CONSIDER smiling after
Bond was born, and you look like you've just had a pleasant day at the
park ( personally, I think this is even better!)

You're a lucky little boy, Christopher. You have a great Mommy and
Daddy to come home to, and brothers and sisters who love you! (And
when you get a little older, I'm sure Sarah and I will be dragging you
and Bond out of creeks and ponds in every park we visit together!)

Bond and Paul and I are looking forward to meeting the newest member
of the family at SRM, and again in July! Congratulations again!

Congratulations, Robb and Sarah! He trully is a beautiful baby,
and I can't wait to lay eyes on him for the first time in person! My
personal favorite pic is the one where he is first given to Sarah.
That look on her face is worth all the money in the world. You can't
script that. That is pure joy. Nice shooting, Robb. :)

CONGRATS to two of my best buddies on RRC, Robb and Sarah! Like Don said, the

As a SFGAd home-parker, I'm honored that you chose the park as Christopher's

kidding)

I look forward to seeing you, Sarah, Rebecca (who I'm sure is *much* bigger

Obviously, I missed this post, or I wouldn't have asked about the baby in
my e-mail this morning!

A BIG, HUGE CONGRATS to the whole family! Send Sarah my love! And tell
her to really enjoy her first rides in 9 months! Now Rebecca will have a
younger brother to beat up -- I mean ride the coasters with! And she has
a head start in the track record! ;-)

David,
waiting to see how long it takes Robb to join Chris, Jeffrey and I on a
certain kill-file list! ;-)

Already done! :) We left the hospital, first stop: my work (to pick up a
couple of things), second stop: Target (your work, Walt!) to pick up a couple
of things, third stop: We were both starving! "Wing's place?" "Yeah! Wing's
place!"

Everyone is now home and resting. So far so good with Christopher. He actually
slept through the night! He had to be woken up to be fed, then went right back
to sleep, never fussed once. I just hope that pattern continues! :)

Thanks to everyone who responded. I'm printing them out now for Sarah to
read!

I made a general, blanket apology to everyone a while back because
I've not kept up my contributions to the RRC birthday threads over the
past few months... but this is *ONE* BIRTH DAY I couldn't miss, for
sure! It's a rare pleasure to see a thread on here with so many
responses that are all filled with *good* stuff.

Welcome, Christopher. We'll see you next week!

Marathon labor? Is that anything like ERT?
Maybe EPT: Exclusive Push Time?

Wow! Great shots, as usual. Being your son, I'm surprised Christopher
didn't photograph his own birth as he was coming out.

It is times like this - a joyous birth - that RRC does show it's true colors
of friendship! It seems that in the really good times or in the sad moments
when we need each other, our RRC friends step right up to celebrate or shed a
tear.

Congrats Sarah and Robb! Thanks for adding another coaster rider to *our

That's a bit far! Robb is a very well respected member of the Coaster community
(so I think it is relavent) and he's overjoyed at having a baby - I don't speak
for everyone else but I found a large degree of happiness reading his news and

I think not.

For me, I'm happy for Robb & Sarah. I'm happy they've added to their

And I find knowing that both Dan's and Rastus's posts exist is
somewhat refreshing in that they make everyone else look good (even

Its not good news, its just news, that is off topic.
This post was just to PROVE me right again. RRC people are hypocrites. They
can post and tell people "this is off topic", but when something is REALLY OT
like this, they are hypocrites.

who are you helping by spewing your rants? Nobody! Just becuase you lead a

Yeah. Meta-discussions of topicality may be theoretically on-topic,
but they're surely less interesting than the original subject of this
