Holy crap. Let's get a pool going on when metal fatigue causes the
need for a middle support... :-)

Ditto! Hope they have some events for this puppy this summer...night
rides are gonna be epic.

Holy crap, that's tall. And spindly.

(Yes, I realize there are taller. Still, that's really fucking tall.)

Look for a park sponsored event early in the year for all of their
"official" coaster club participants.

Probably similar to the "Ride Warriors" event KI held this past April
for Diamondbag. Walk-on ERT at 1 in the morning is a good thing!

Well lets hope that Cedar Fair realizes that KD is finally REALLY
getting on the map with the addition of this ride, and they throw an
appropriate party.

Did Xcelerator go a full year without a cross-brace? It sure looked
crazier that way.

I think it was after the first year, yeah.

Looks great. CF "gets it" when it comes to having the new ride
ready in April for the spring break crowd. That's what made Diamond
Back such a hit at KI. It was open early in the year, people talked
about it, and destination travelers flew in to visit. A friend I
know made a trip there and visited just because he knew Diamond Back
was up and running. He's not a big coaster fan either, but knew
about the ride. Once I saw the POV in April, that's when I booked
my trip and flew up a month later. So it matters when the ride is
open for the spring break crowd. That's the present to the coaster
community right there. Having the ride open in April and doing the
daily ERT thing by letting season pass holders get in 1 hour early,
just like they do at CP and KI.

I don't think you can credit that to CF, I think you have to give
credit to the park. Many of the old CF parks were never open for
spring break, and so don't get "it". Knott's is an almost year-round,
so they have different methods as well.
