I'll add here to keep RRC hanging on.

Memorial Day weekend, my home park received and tried out a big skillet that came from Silver Dollar City.

I checked it out just as they were putting some frozen ground beef on it. They are making "Street Tacos" 3 for $8.00. I was told they would give out samples. Needless to say, I did not go back later to give it a try so have no idea how big or mhat you really get for eight bucks. I guess I am not typical Enthusiast. :-)

So yesterday I stopped in the park and it was not opened. Not long after I entered the park, I noticed a safety hazard. reported it twice in 2 and 1/2 hour and nothing done. Finally as I was leaving I ran into the Dir of Operations and asked him to walk with me to see, and have the issue taken care of before someone got hurt.

As we were walking I mentioned the big skillet and he reiterated what I already knew about it's origins and that I was accustomed to the awesome food from the DW skillets. Said I wanted to try it but closed, and was it just for the holiday weekend. He said it would be open on high volume days.

The issue I see here is that most may not know how good the food is prepared in this manner. Not sure yet how these "Street Tacos" are going to be, but will try first chance I catch it open. I just hope folks see it and give it a try so it becomes a succesful mainstay at the park.

And den dats it.

Huh? The problem I have with this kind of food is the flies. Everything is sitting out in the open.

Recently played a gig at the Pompano Beach Sea Food Festival, was walking around looking at all the food, and there were flies all over it. Watch this video here.

Sorry to ruin your Man V. Food moment, and I'm sure the tacos will be great, but I just can get over the flies. I'm sure there's gross stuff that happens in the back of any kitchen, but at least I don't have to see it.

No Problem. Did't you know fly feet and poo is what makes it taste so great?!?

"Street tacos" don't have ground beef in them. Are they topped with ketchup & american cheese too?

HA hA! I don't know. I was hoping to see them this weekend but Maries Big Skillet never opened again since memorial day. Although when they first started memorial day they had a big block of frozen meat in the skillet. It certainly looked like ground beef to me.

Only if they see the poo go into your Taco. You know big chain parks charge for anything extra!
