Er, Mommy, I smell a troll!
john cline ii who would prefer that no wood coaster be torn down, and certainly
not for that!
The original 1977 Rebel Yell marathon acted as an enzyme for the
formation of ACE. This was the first actual organized coaster event.
Twenty years later, ACE honored that event with a second Rebel Yell
mini-marathon.
I think that it would be a nice idea to have a 40th anniversary
marathon on the Rebel Yell, as well.
So, let's not taer it down just yet. It's quite a classy coaster.

WHAT!!??!?!? Have you been smoking weed when you posted that? Now
granted, I have yet to ride Superman, but somehow I have a strong
feeleing that I would just rather leave Rebel Yell exactly the way it
is (well, it would be nice to see it painted back to its original Red,
White and Blue) instead of having a Superman type ride at PKD. Also,
I have a feeling that Volcano would beat Superman anyday of the week.
It may not be as fast on the launch, but it has got to be better than
just going straight up and down.

OH MY GOD !!!! Look out eveyone here comes the lighting !!
Do you know what you are even saying??
First of all, you NEVER, repeat NEVER have to tear down to build another
coaster. PKD has plenty of land.
Second of all, the REBEL YELL is coaster enthusiast history ! The AMERICAN
COASTER ENTHUSIASTs idea was concieved on that very coaster during the marathon
for promotion of "Roller Coaster" the movie, which the Rebel Yell stared in.
Way to much history there, and even if it wasnt history involved, you never
have to tear down to build another.....
( I am gasping for air from just reading that nasty idea)

Man(trying to be calm here). First of all, I have to agree with everyone else
about not tearing the Rebel Yell down. Now why I believe so. First of all, The
Rebel Yell is still a great coaster and can hold it's own against many roller
coasters in the country, dare I say the world. I guess next we should tear down
Magnum XL-200 in CP to put up a Superman clone, and while we are at it, lets
tear down that Loch Ness Monster at Busch Gardens. I don't beleieve in tearing
down of any roller coasters(why I am upset at the Drachen Fire debacle).Kings
Dominion is about to get acces to way more land then they will know what to do
with. So let's keep the park the way it is and hope that they build one in the
future in it's own place. Besides, the Superman idea could be modified, like a
speed track or something like that to achive insane speeds, as opposed to an
out and return style. I know I don't promote tearing down rollercoasters in
parks, but if anyone is to be removed from KD, it should be Shockwave, to be
replaced by a B7M stand up for the year 2000 with the name of Shockwave 2000(a
cool idea, I think, maybe the first standup hypercoaster would rock, kill two
wishes with one stone). Just my thoughts, don't take it personal.

Ampatheater!!!!
No one really needs it do they... :c)
Becky

You should be ashamed for suggesting that. "F..." Superman!
