I am in the process of booking a few trips for the upcoming
"Coaster Season" and I was wondering what websites you's
use to book hotel/flight/car reservations. Just curious as to
what you's have found that gives you the best rates.

Thanks!

Flights

I use sidestep also....however if you look at the list of sites they
check you will want to check some of the sites they do not cover like
Southwest, etc. I also crosscheck that site with QIXO.com

Bing.com is a new site tells whether the prices are "expected" to go
up or down.

Cars

I almost always use priceline and bid on a car. Smaller is not bad as
they "normally" offer an upgrade on site anyway.

Hotels

I rarely book hotels, but if I do I utilize hotels.com when I do.
Normally I try to hit parks on the weekdays and so I look for the
coupon guide books at travel centers in the area and use them to get
my hotel room.

General

In general I find that if I use a 'search engine" I can take the
results and go directly to the site and get the same rate or better.
i.e. if sidestep tells me that American Airlines has the best rate,
then American Airlines will probably be offering the same price or
better and sometimes with a few more options to choose from on their
website.

I hope this helps.

Rental Cars - Hotwire is good, I've used them a few times. I
always wondered what the gimmick was. Once you book a reservation
you can't change it or cancel. Which is fine with me because my
plans are set far in advance.

Hotels - I book directly on the hotel site entering any rewards number
I have, then I see if my AAA card will help.

Air Fare - I start with travel.yahoo.com to get an idea of the
flights, then book directly with the airline online. I do this so I
can get early morning flights, and I enter my sky miles number.

Make that ONE good deal, since the other one disappeared before I got to
ride it. (The website stopped allowing the discount code for cheap hotels,
after tons of people booked hotels for under $10/night!)

Before I got to RIDE it? I must have been thinking about some coasters
that did the same!

Obviously, I meant before I got to POST it! ;-)
