Absolutely! Time for a revolution to restore the peoples' power which
has been usurped by those who pull the strings of our public servants,
from the president down to the local dog catcher ...

If one reads the legend at the bottom, one will see that the higher
the score (out of 10), the less corrupt a nation is. The top of the
chart is less corrupt, the bottom (Chad) the worst. The U.S. actually
scores pretty well, all things considered.

I would also very much like to understand how the scoring, by business
leaders and another poorly defined group, is actually accomplished.
In other words, no matter what the scores say, take this with a VERY
BIG grain of salt until you better understand the methodology.

Bruce, 10 is best under "Amount" but 1 is the best under "Rank"

DEFINITION: A CPI Score relates to perceptions of the degree of corruption
as seen by business people and country analysts and ranges between 10
(highly clean) and 0 (highly corrupt). Includes police corruption, business
corruption, political corruption, etc. Data for 2005.

I live in the San Joaquin Valley of California ... on the east coast,
there are blacks, here in California there are mostly negroes.

About 1% are decent ... I realize that the black population of other
states are of a totally different makeup. Here it is much like New
Orleans ...

BpnJ - I may be a generational thing . . .

When I had a job and was working from 1965
to 1997 the vast majority of African-Americans
that I worked for, with, and supervised all had
a better command of the English Language
then I did. They was a grew up in a time when
their Parents, Families and Churches all reinforce
one message : "In Order To Compete With The
White Man You Have To Be Better That The
White Man." and all to often they were.

That was from the 1940s/50s "Acting White"
To Be American Acculturation of the 'Negro'*.

* 1950s 'Negro' was the nice politic socially
acceptable word that good White people used
-versus- The-N-Word : Black wasn't 'In' and
African-American had not been invented yet . . .

That Acculturation was disregarded and looked
down on as "acting White {being a Racial Sell-Out}
by the 1980s/90s. Now for many in the inner-cities
the African-American 'Culture' is anything "That Ain't
White". Too many of todays young African-Americans
proper English is Whitey Talk.

How you going to 'fit-in' when you don't want to '"Fit-In" ?

How you going to 'get-a-long' when you don't want
to '"Get-A-Long" ?

America and Americanism is built-on the premise
of All Becoming Americans {Acculturation}.

cultural separation {divergence} creates misunderstanding
and inequalities; and destroys societies from within ~ RHF

I note with some concern that even the Boat People have a better
command of the language than you. Were you cheated out of a good
education or did the Post Office kill the cognitive processes?

Well, I did not write that - but all things being equal, I think he's

American nations' governments practically define the word corruption -

I have NEVER noticed money to improve genetics, nor that poverty
degrades them. Having said that, generations of being stuck in poverty
does have very negative results on the victims. But, stoopid-arse which
can't even lean to speak English will always be one, in rags or in

If you mean "radical racial minorities" as compared to red necks, I have

homosexual, the majority, to be a radical minority--and, that only or

That is how we began the slide that ended us up here in the sewer. We
began comparing ourselves to other nations, the American standard of
living went in the toilet, and I began to see my first homeless
people--sometime in the late 70's or early 80's. Now, in California, it
is pretty safe to bet if you see a bridge, someone sleeps under it at

someone say our homeless are "much better off than such-and-such a

I am in my late 50's. Back, when I was in 7th grade, we used to get a
little school paper, once a week. I think it was called, "Weekly
Reader." One issue, asked the question as machines take over all the
jobs, the production of food, etc. what will the people do. I remember
having a classroom discussion, we ventured they would become writers,
poets, actors, space explorers, adventurers, athletes, etc. Yes, we
decided there would be plenty for people to do. We envisioned
supermarkets where you simply went in and picked out what you needed and
went on your merry way, at first there would be hording but as people
got used to the idea and the change that would end. We talked about
"special benefits" given to the workers who kept the machines repaired ...

Well, we stand on the verge of having this come to fruition, today,
perhaps in my lifetime. What keeps it from happening? Greed,
corruption, the wish of some to have control over others, the enjoyment
some get out of watching others suffer, the desire of some to own
slaves, etc. ... all the things nasty people do ... the public servants
we are sticking into office are not fit to aid us in this transition
time. The people in power are power/money freaks; That is why they got
into power in the first place.

When we are done with the chinese cheap labor/manufacturing/goods, when
we are done with the illegal aliens serving as the riches slaves, this
is where we will stand. There will be no more jobs, there will be no
more need for them other than to repair the machines, jobs will be VERY
limited. And then, we will finally have machines which repair the
machines ... the times will be most dangerous then. As it will be time
to have an even and fair distribution of property and wealth.

I leave it to you to decide who won't like that happening and the
lengths they will go to, to keep their slaves, power, ability to cause
pain and suffering on others, etc. ... and think about the type of
public servants you will want in your offices at that time.

Regards,
JS

Leaving aside the huge questions of who gets to decide such things
in Utopia or why anyone has the right to decide them at all, and
also leaving aside my weariness with empty ideologies that are based
on "who gets the money and stuff," I am very curious about one thing.

I'd like to know why you assume that "even" distribution and "fair"
distribution would the same thing, or even compatible.

Isn't it just as likely that they would be mutually exclusive?

With all good wishes,

Well, it may be hard to -generalize- about birth rates. It Japan, it is
waaay down; OTOH, the African-American birth rate is going through the roof.

Sad but true. With millions of homes already in foreclosure and millions
more waiting in the wings to be foreclosed, available living space under
the viaducts is going to become pretty scarce. :-(

When Gordon Gecko said "Greed is good", too bad Wall Street took it as
the gospel truth rather than the fiction it was supposed to be.

Finland is populated by three distinct ethnic groups which will be
