They borrowed the money to do it. It's another long term, high interest
loan guaranteed to fatten the wallets of the bankers. What's another few
billions? The taxpayer doesn't seem to care, they'll be dead before any
dent is made in the debt.
What is the percentage of taxes used to pay interest alone? Twenty,
thirty percent? That amount has put a few thousand of the Overlords'
offspring through some rather good schools. No one reports seeing dxAce
on campus or even anywhere near one.
The tax structure is bringing about a new age of Feudalism, but instead
of sharecropping, we'll have wage cropping. There's no difference
between turning over half the harvest or half your money.

He was intelligent and articulate. It could be seen what made him what
he was. I remember reading "Black like Me" by Griffin back in my younger
days. Another book that made me think was "The American way of Death".
It was pretty controversial at the time. Emotions being used as a means
of profiteering are nothing new. I understand a few wars have been
started under rather emotional (and false) pretexts.
