The chart topping hip hop rapper star who used a network hurricane
fundraiser to charge "George Bush doesn't care about black people" was
loudly and lustily booed during last night's NFL kickoff show.
The appearance of Kanye West, who was beamed into the Boston stadium
via remote from Los Angeles, received a strongly negative response from
the crowd.
"The boos were thunderous and lasted for much of his number," reports
the BOSTON GLOBE.
I wonder what Kayne is actually doing to help the large group of black
people from New Orleans. Seems to be pretty effective at whining. Bush
is sending billions of dollars south, including cash cards with $2,000
loaded onto each one. How much money did Kayne send.
Assuming Bush is not sending any of his personal fortune in those billions
of dollars and those debit cards, Kayne is sending exactly as much as every
other taxpayer in the U.S. of A.
George Bush is doing something positive and big in his position as
president. Kayne West in his position as "musician" has chosen to
whine about how Bush and the white folks are not taking care of the
poor black folks. But I guess that is what Hip Hop and Rap is mostly
about - whining and filthy language. And I'm sure he will sell more of
his "music" in the process.
Yeah, those fucking whiners. They should be lucky we don't whip them back
to the plantations where they belong!

Hint: The whiners are the guys like West who are trying to capitalize
on the misfortune of hundreds of thousands by pplaying the race card.
Whoa there big fella. Take a little closer look at the federal income
tax code before saying the rich do not pay as much in proportion. Tax
rates rise with income levels, deductions and exemptions are phased out
as income level rises and many americans are hit hard by the AMT.
The middle class as a group pays more than the upper 10% of income
earners because there is a whole lot more of them, not because the tax
rates are lower.
"John S." wrote:
Reality: According to data from the Internal Revenue Service, the top 1
percent of income earners pay nearly 35 percent of the income tax burden; the
top 10 percent pay 65 percent; and the top 25 percent pay nearly 83 percent.
The bottom 50 percent of income earners, on the other hand, pay barely 4
percent of income taxes. By definition, then, it is impossible to cut taxes
without
the so-called rich receiving a share of the benefits.

My comment had to do with the middle class, which you deftly excluded
from your group of examples.
Well, Barbara Bush did refer to the poor blacks wanting to settle in Texas
as being a scary thing.

I'm not sure how he capitalizes on that. He was a fast rising musician well
before that. His father was a member of the Black Panthers. He's got a
political opinion. It's ok for Bush to get photo-ops with Lance Armstrong
and Tom Brady. Why is it that when he gets bad press form a celebrity it's
a surprise?

The blacks of course are only useful to the liberals as a commodity to be
exploited.

It is a shame. If their not being used as a tool for gain by the left their
being used by the likes of their own kind i.e. Jesse Louis Burns, Big Al,
Louis Eugene Walcott or old Frizzell Gray. All scumbags getting rich off the
plight of their own people and constantly telling them they can't get by in
the white mans world. If Martin Luther was still around, he would shit!

So is your insurance claim. The "Nothing wrong with my neck that thirty
grand won't fix" attitude takes money of MY pockets by increasing MY
insurance rates. This distribution, for YOUR gain, doesn't seem to
bother you at all. What a hypocrite.

Middle class is buried within the bottom 50% and between the top 25%
and the bottom 50% statistics you quoted. Very confusing and
essentially worthless statistics for identifying the middle class in
terms of income and taxes paid. Still the point can be made that our
income tax system does tax income at progessively higher rates and that
the lowest income earners pay the lowest income taxes, whether measured
by rate or total paid by group.
"John S." wrote:
Point is that your statement "The middle class as a group pays more than the upper 10%
of income earners..." is incorrect, since the upper 10% pay 65% of the income taxes as
stated. And of course the upper 1% pays 35% so it's pretty clear that the 'middle
class' does not pay more.
But I suppose it hinges on where *you* place the boundaries on what is considered
'middle class' income. Generally, 'middle class' falls between $25,000 and $75,000 per
year. Upper income folks (above $75,000) make up about 26% of all households.
Therefore, the upper 10% are making a lot of money, AND paying 65% of the tax burden...
and the 'middle class' can't be paying more.
The stats are hardly confusing nor worthless, if one knows how to read them.

What about the upper 1/2 of 1 percent? People who live on capital,
not labor? Which way is that trending?

But OK for Big Barb Bitch?
Whereas the lower classes pay income taxes on nearly all oof
their income, while the upper classes have shelters.
Just like the hypocrite Ronald Reagan said, "Taxes SHOULD
hurt" in the same year as he personally paid ZERO taxes due to "paper
losses" on his "ranch".
Big Barb Bitch? Some alternative rock group?
