It's a script based program which can be adapted to W*ndows, Mac or
Linux. You have to have the TCL/TK stuff installed first.
The separate menus are of the 'tear off as needed' variety. Open a menu,
and then, if desired, detach them from the main graphic and place them
wherever you want, one at a time or all of them.
The operating/installation instructions aren't too clear for the Ubuntu
variety, so it took me a while to figure out what was wrong.
The program and overview may be found here:

I still often wonder why folks refer to the ICOM as an 'R-75', when clearly,
right on the front of the doorstop, it says R75...
Ah, and straightening us out on that will definitely bring world piece,
eliminate hunger and produce overall harmony.

While R75 may be right : R-75 is "Dashing"
in a 'hyphenated' sort of way.

I figure the R75 being so far away from the operating chair on the floor
next to the door makes it hard to read the small lettering on the front
panel.

Are you now going to start insulting particular brands of radio? When
will your 'tote it, BOY' phase begin?
Then will you also start calling people 'Nigger' like your hero was doing?
Time for you get back to your former honourable self and give up the
childish, insulting attacks.
You can do it. I know you're a decent guy at heart.
Playing 'Internet tough guy' really doesn't suit you.

I made the original door stop R75 joke. It's just nostalgia from an old
"your radio sucks" thread for people that were around at the time. Other
than the well known problems the R75 is a fine radio.

Mike [M II] there you go again trotting out "The-N-Word"
You are the only regular poster here that has used it
in the last couple of Years. Always using the 'cover'
that someone else used it way back then . . .
Classic Can-A-D'Oh!-ian Anti-American Hate Speech.
Preaching Hate for the USA by invoking "The-N-Word".
Did Telamon use "The-N-Word" in this thread - NO.
-but- You tried to put "The-N-Word" in his mouth.

Mike [M II] - OK so... DX Ace called the Icom
IC-R75 Receiver a 'doorstop' B F D ! :
It's a Radio Not Your Mama and there was/is
no reason to use "The-N-Word" in your reply.
Mike [M II] your present day usage of "The-N-Word"
is becoming a 'well known problem' in this newsgroup.
Mike [M II] being a Can-A-D'Oh!-ian does not excuse
you yourself from using "The-N-Word".
Canadians do not have license to use "The-N-Word"
just because they are 'not' Americans.
Mike [M II] Racism Is Racism : Be It American -or- Canadian.
Mike [M II] The Topic was the Icom IC-R75 Receiver
and the last time I looked "The-N-Word" wasn't in the
Manual. ~ RHF

John Lennon used the 'Nigger' word in one of his tunes.
I was fortunate enough to meet him and May Pang (sp) in Hollywood in the early
70's.

That was the low point in John Lennon's life.

Kinda low for me as well. I was not terribly impressed with Hollywood. It was a junky looking place.
It still is. The Japanese seem to like it, however.

More likely 8 December 1980
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_death_of_John_Lennon
.
That's very telling, Roy. According to all reports John Lennon was very
happy in December of 1980. The only person who did not go through a lot
of anguish was Mr. Lennon himself. Our own death is one thing we will
not have to experience.
