MIAMI (Reuters) - Conservative radio commentator Rush Limbaugh turned
himself into police in Florida on Friday and was charged with
prescription drug fraud as part of a probe that began more than two
years ago, authorities said.
Limbaugh, who admitted an addiction to prescription painkillers in
October 2003 after reports he was facing an investigation, was released
on $3,000 bail after being held about one hour at the Palm Beach County
Sheriff's Office.

battery factory that was in Florence,Mississippi.Some of those rollers
on those conveyors long since stopped rolling around and around.(that
area of the factory had a dirt floor with sawdust on the floor so
whenever the batteries fell off the roller conveyor lines,it wouldn't
break the batteries) We had to use one of those plastic pump up garden
sprayers thingys,with oil in the sprayer on some of those rollers,so we
could slide those great big heavy 18 wheeler truck batteries along the
conveyers to hook them up to charge them up,and after they were charged
up,unhook them and take them off the conveyors and put them on another
conveyor line.
One night,one of those big truck batteries landed on my left foot and
broke my middle toe in two places.They sent me to a clinic.The doc taped
my broken toe along side another toe and he gave me some pain pills.I
took those pain pills according to his advice and the directions on the
plastic pill bottle.I never have gotten addicted/hooked on pain pills or
any other kinds of pills before.Whenever I get a headache,I take two
APCs (ordinary Bayer Aspirin) and that does the trick for me.

day,one of those Vietnamese helper dudes sneaked some baby mice in one

MIAMI (Reuters) - Rush Limbaugh was charged with prescription drug
fraud in Florida on Friday as part of a deal ending a criminal probe of
the conservative radio commentator that began more than two years ago,
his lawyer and authorities said.
Under the deal the 55-year-old Limbaugh, best known as a brash and
often moralistic talk show host, will see the case against him dropped
in 18 months, his attorney said.
Limbaugh admitted an addiction to prescription painkillers in October
2003 after reports he was facing an investigation for allegedly using a
housekeeper at his Palm Beach mansion to illegally obtain prescription
drugs.
He was booked on Friday on a single count of concealing information to
fraudulently obtain a prescription drug after turning up with his
lawyer, Roy Black, at the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
He was released after less than an hour on $3,000 bail, Black told
Reuters.
He said Limbaugh filed a written plea of not guilty, and would persist
in denying that he committed the crime of so-called "doctor shopping."
The charge will be dropped in 18 months provided Limbaugh continues to
seek drug therapy treatment from the doctor who has been treating him
for the past 2 1/2 years, Black said.
"The prosecutors and I agree that there shouldn't be a criminal
prosecution, and we agree there shouldn't be any court proceedings,"
said Black.
As part of the deal, Limbaugh also agreed to make a $30,000 payment to
the state of Florida to defray the public cost of the investigation.
"This guy has been undergoing investigation for two-and-a-half years.
You can imagine what that does to somebody," Black said in a telephone
interview.
"He's just happy that it's finally ended and he can go back to his
normal life," he said.

Clearly Limbaugh has a problem. He has an addiction to some
painkillers and needs help controlling that addiction before it kills
him. It really doesn't matter whether he is a Republican, Democrat,
Whig, Green Party or any other political leaning. He is addicted to
one or more drugs. That he is a very public and easily recognized
individual probably gives him easier access to doctors who will
overfill or give him multiple prescriptions.
I really don't agree with much of what he says nor do I like the way
that he says it on the air. But as another human being I wish him the
best in getting this problem under control.

the first steps in standard Criminal Processing.

Technically when one 'surrenders' to the Police and is
