Hearing the Voice of Guyana on 3290 kHz using USB
with the 2.3 kHz Filter to Isolated the 3287 kHz UTE
with a S9+10 Carrier and Signal

Voice of Guyana S-Meter : S5~S7 with SIO 434
but Good Audio using USB on 16 March 2011

Voice of Guyana carried the BBC News @ 715 UTC

GUYANA -circa- 2011
NCN is operating on 560 kHz with 7 kW and 3290 kHz with 5 kW from
Vreed en Hoop a few km west of Georgetown. 700, 760 and 5950 kHz are
inactive.

GUYANA -circa- 2010
3290 kHz is now in operation from the new site with 10 kW, but the
start on a separate daytime frequency has been postponed and a 60 mb
frequency is considered instead of 5950 kHz.

The Sparendaam shortwave transmitter site in the eastern part of
Georgetown is off the air and operations will be resumed from a new
site in the western part of the capital in February 2010 on 3290 and
5950 kHz.
