SEPTEMBER 28,2013
Young Eagles Rally
Special event call Is: N3E
Operated by members of the Pottstown Area Amateur Radio Club (PAARC)
Young Eagles are Youth members of the Experimental Aircraft
Association, CHAPTER 1250 Pottstown,Pa.
This is the annual “Community Day” (open house and airplane rides)
Gates open 10:00 am on September 28,2013
Our special event station will be operating 40 meters thru 10 meters.
We will also try operating on 2 meter simplex at 147.510. We will operate
in the general class frequencies as much as possible .We will have an
Information table. We will have a control Op at the transmitter to coach
any Ham or Non Ham to make radio contacts from this station. Our goal is
to promote and recruit new hams, demonstrate to the public, the
capabilities of Amateur Radio in field operations.
In order to get a contact (QSL) Certificate: Please send SASE 12” x
9”. To Ed McCoy (N3WXW) 286 Hopewell Road, Elverson, Pa. 19520. Note:
Past events postage rate was, in the Lower 48 States $1.10. I will
return in your envelope. QSL size card and Certificate on hard paper each
divided from each other with the hard paper. If you send me a any wrong
size envelope I will NOT return to you. Sorry I can no longer afford
postage and paper.
We have the call for 5 days. September 28 is a Saturday. All other
days we have the call. When club members come to my home station. We will
post on the dx cluster that we are operational. On September 28 we will
have a demo station operated by our club members and Supervised guest at
the airport. We will also make some calls on Saturday on 2 meters FM on
simplex local frequency of 147.510. I would expect about a 10-12 mile
radius from the airports location.

Maligned Swine Special Event-W4UG

Join us on Saturday August 10,2013, for the first Maligned Swine Special
Event. We have a great resource in VA Beach, the Back Bay National Refuge.
But evil lurks in this treasured area: feral pigs. So join the seasoned
hams on August 10,2013, between 1300 and 1900 UTC at or about 14.260 as we
dedicate our Special Event to these Maligned Swine! Certificate delivered
electronically with your QSL information at Malig...@gmail.com or with a
QSL Card and SASE to Ed Gibbs,KC4UFN/4404 Lakeville Court/Virginia
