Wicklow Town Club Formation Lain EI5GN has received
lots of interest in starting up a radio club in Wicklow
Town. There is a premises confirmed which is virtually
free of charge & it looks like the first meeting is
scheduled for January 14th at 20.00pm 2010. More

Dublin Radio Club This year's South Dublin Radio Club
Christmas Party will take place next Tuesday the 15th
of December. The venue will be the same as last year,
"The Morgue", Tempelogue Village from 8.00 pm until
late. Members of other clubs and visitors are as usual
very welcome to this social event. Limited free food
will be available for paid-up members; visitors can
choose from the bar menu until 9.00 pm.

Club Christmas Dinner The North Dublin Radio Club,
Fingal Radio Club and the Howth Martello Radio Group
are having a joint Christmas dinner on Saturday 19th
December. The restaurant in the Coachman's Inn near
Dublin Airport is the venue and the meal will start at
8:30pm. This is the second year that this joint
dinner has been organized. Last year's dinner was a
great success and so this year it has been decided to
invite other amateurs, SWLs and friends. Lapsed members
of both clubs would be particularly welcome. Places
are limited and early booking is recommended. If

Industry News Scott Robbins, W4PA, of Knoxville,
Tennessee, has signed an agreement to purchase The
Vibroplex Company, Inc from present owner Felton
'Mitch' Mitchell, W4OA, effective December 21, 2009.
Vibroplex will move from its present location in
Mobile, Alabama to Knoxville, Tenn Robbins - who has
been employed with Ten-Tec Inc since 1995 (he has been
Product Manager for Ten-Tec's Amateur Radio equipment
line since 1997) - will leave his position in
mid-December to take over full-time management and
ownership of Vibroplex during the last two weeks of
December, with a planned opening date of January 5,
2010. Phone numbers email & contact addresses will
remain in continuous operation under the new ownership
of Vibroplex

3W6C CW OP Required Experienced CW op needed for rare
IOTA DXpedition An international group of operators
will be active as 3W6C from Con Co Island (AS-185),
Vietnam, between April 10-18th, 2010. The DXpedition
has an opening for one additional experienced CW
operator; German language is not required as this in an

Rallies Phoenix A.R.C The Rally will be held as usual
at Coolmine Community School near Blanchardstown on
Sunday 14th February 2010.Doors open from 9am to
2.30pm. Usual traders will be present and to
encourage a real Amateur Radio orientated Rally
bring and buy tables will be free of charge. For tables

first rally of the New Year and usually a very
enjoyable occasion. Refreshments and plenty of car
parking available.
