I need tjhe wisdom of the list as this one has me totally stumped. A week ago I posted about static crashes on this rcvr. The collective advice was to check out the stages by removing tubes and then replace the micas (which are discrete components on this rcvr) in the IF cans. HQ-120X Part Needed

I have a very nice HQ-120X Hammarlund receiver that I am restoring that needs a BFO coil. The one I have is open and the break is not visible. Does anyone have a parts radio with a good coil? I will take the whole can unit which consists of the BFO coil and trimmer and the AVC switch, or I could use just the coil.... more »

Clansman 5.4m mast

I've just acquired a couple of Clansman 5.4m masts and, while erecting them doesn't really need instructions, they are so pristine it would be nice to have them "as issued", which I suspect includes a set of "field instructions". (I've some older 27' metal masts with such instructions on a metal plate.)... more »

Help on HT-32A transformer

I friend of mine has to rewind the transformer of his Hallicrafters HT-32A, but he does not know the precise AC voltages (apart from filaments of course). AC voltages could be determined knowing the DC output voltages, but it would be safer to take measured data. I wonder whether anyone has, by any chance, noted down the AC voltages?... more »

Just picked up a FT-990 and the lithium battery is dead. Can't find a service manual with instructions on how to locate and replace the battery. Would appreciate an e-mail or copy of the replacement instructions for the battery in the FT-990. <k4...@cox.net>
