803s in push-pull / parallel
I have started building a 7-MHz AM trasmitter with four suppressor-modulated 803s in push-pull-parallel. I expect to get nearly 400W of carrier power. My only concern is plate voltage. DX-100 or Apache?
Hello All, I'm looking for an AM/CW rig in the 100 watt class, and may have a choice between a Heath DX-100 and a Heath Apache. In looking at the specs I could find on the two, the Apache looks like the better choice. What do you think? Cheers, Brian Ex: W5BRO, K6UCD

I am cleaning an assortment of transmitters and receivers. Most have wax residue in ventilation holes. I have tried using several cleaners and soaps with a soft tooth brush and hot water. I can't find my old style stiff pipe cleaners, only the new soft designer color ones. I am going to try and find a store that stocks the old style ones.... more »

Putting a date on waxed or painted electrical wiring
I'm attempting to determine the approximate age of a device I have by it's wiring since there are no other identifiable marks. While it's not actually a rig (it's an old electric powered film security camera), I feel this is the appropriate place to post given the expertise of the Ham community.... more »
