pretty much certain he's long gone.
If you want a speaker, find an actual buy and sell newsgroup and post
there.
Replying to a 15 year old post won't help you one bit.
And if you're looking for someone selling such a speaker, then look for
more recent ads, which means looking elsewhere, not the newsgroups.
There's a newfangled thing called "ebay" that apparently is getting some
attention. And at this point, there are likely web based "buy and sell
forums".
