I agree with Mick.  It is an interesting device.

I'm wondering how and where the NC lacquer is applied.  I'm assuming that
the logical place would be in the hollow cavity of the first weaving
spindle.  But how would this be recharged and how would you keep it from
gumming up the two pulleys between the weaving spindles?  A detailed
description or cross sectional diagram of the first weaving spindle would be
nice.
