>How are a hare and a fowl similar, but different from a deer and an ape?
I didn't see any complete solution [NB. our news has been acting oddly].
Arranging the letters in reverse alphabetical order gives:
hare -> rhea
fowl -> wolf (i.e. animals again)
deer -> reed
ape -> pea (i.e. transformed to plants)
Well, I thought it was cute.
[The subject header gave a clue, omega & psi being the last 2 letters
of the Greek alphabet, i.e. "omegapsic" = opposite of "alphabetic"].
