There were 4 stand-up comics performing at the Chuckle Hut last night. Can you identify each one's first name (one was Carla), last name (one was White), joke topic and order of performance -- oh yes, and which 2 were vampires?

1. A vampire did not perform last.
2. Dave Green performed sometime after the comic who joked about game shows.
3. Ms. Black performed sometime after the comic who joked about ugly dogs.
4. Bob did not joke about vampires; the comic who did performed immediately before an actual vampire.
5. In order of appearance, the first 3 comics were: a vampire, Alice, and Mr. Brown.

P.S. Out of curiosity, how would you rate this puzzle in terms of difficulty and interest? Would you like me to post more puzzles like this?

I think one of the four jokes is unidentified.
Suppose it was a joke about baseball.
I like names with different letters; we're OK here
if we use R for bRown and L for bLack.
Two first names are female (Ms.); two male (Mr.)

What I do is represent facts with lines:
Pos F.N L.N Jok Vamp
4 - - - -V
>x D G - -
x - - gam -
>y A/C R - -
y - - ugl -
- B - -vam -
z - - vam -
z+1 - - - V
1 - - - V
2 A - - -
3 B/D L - -
(I find this works better than cross-grid.)
It is immediately seen that joke #4 cannot be
game, ugly, or vampire, so must be baseball.
Soon everything falls into place:
#1 Carl White told ugly joke
#2 Alice Brown told vampire joke
#3 Bob Black told game show joke
#4 Dave Green told baseball joke.
White and Black are the vampires.

This puzzle was too easy.

Oops, I should have defined the 4th joke topic in the instructions: it was supposed to be nose hair.

That said, your answers are not completely correct. For one thing, as indicated by clue #5, Alice performed before (Mr.!) Brown.

Oops. I used 'B' for both Black/Brown, went back to change
them when I noticed the duplication, but slipped. :-(
I think my post is correct with the transposition
Black <--> Brown

Maybe I should rephrase that. :-(

Yes, with that change your answers are correct.

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! I may post a harder one in the near future.
