The rules of round 151 ask you to write a cryptic clue that conforms to the
following restrictions:
1. Every word in the clue must have the same number of letters.
2. The answer must be a word or phrase of seven letters.
3. The clue must be at least four words long.
For example:
Chew ring with salt (7)
Solution: DISCUS + S
but I'm sure you can do much better than that.
You should treat a hyphenated word as two words for the purpose of Restriction
1. You can ignore apostrophes.
Clues with more words and longer words will be at an advantage in the judging.
As always, it will be essential to have a cogent surface sense, with an
absolute minimum of words which do not have a part to play in the cryptic.
You may submit as many distinctly different entries as you like, and you may
designate one as your official entry or ask me to choose one.
Please submit:
Your clue(s)
Your name
Some blank space to prevent me seeing the answers immediately
Your answer(s) and explanation(s)
Your disposition to host ACC 152
The deadline is Thursday, June 14. Entries should be sent to
jber...@clinsoft.net
Enjoy!
