For those who expressed an interest, below is an update on the

George Eastman House, International Museum of Photography and Film
(900 East Avenue, Rochester NY 14607-2298, 716-271-3361)

(formerly, the International Museum of Photography at George
Eastman House)

The Museum is open seven days a week in May.


I'm in the galleries giving talks/tours on most Sunday afternoons.

providing a glimpse into the richness of the Museum's
photographic collections, including apparatus, images,
photographic literature, and movie memorabilia.

Seven of the largest projectors I've ever seen.

permanent "Enhancing the Illusion: The Origins and Progress of Photography"

Over one thousand cameras, from the earliest to the latest,
including Daguerre's, Steigletz's, Adams's Brownie, and
Rosenthal's Graflex; also Leaf Picture system which downloads
all the photographs that go to newspaper editors nationwide,
laser-disc access of entire holdings, and Kodak's Photo CD system.

estate from 1902 to the present.
