here's why:
rec.photo is cluttered, arts.fine will be easier
for directory cruising.
we "artistes" might find something useful if we
bother to look between the jargon posts.
art photo never gets off the block at rec.photo
*some* of the art.fine crowd may be good contributors
to *our* thread in *their* group and they ain'ta gonna
find us here on the "re: prints from slides ?" group.
major reason -
i'm going over there and DO IT, and you can come see
or i'll just deal with whoever deals with me when i'm
there. i gots papers, y'know, credenchills: BFA, tufts '74,
and a grad course in art librarianship, and i have no fear
of phd's. who's with me ? let's go then.
>here's why:
Is there anything terribly wrong with cross-posting to both
groups when the subject is appropriate?
Alas, our system doesn't receive rec.arts.fine, and I bet a lot
of others don't either.

I vigorously agree. Please do it.

Here's why not:
o Yet another group to wade through
o Coming soon: innappropriate cross-posts as content changes w/o subject
changing
o I'm interested in the aesthetics of photography, but I don't lump that in
with "Fine Art". My photography certainly doesn't fit in the morass that
is. Anyway, content != aesthetics.
