Hi all:
Here is my problem: I want to hand color photograms (which a
pictures made without negatives) with oil paint. Now since I do not have
negatives, I have one of kind art works (and can not make copies). I
can't make a mistake when handcoloring the originals. I got the idea of
laying some sort of transparent or plastic sheet over the
photogram. Then, by painting on the plastic sheet, but not the photo, I
could get an idea of how it might turn out if I applied color to the
original.

Does anyone know a transparent plastic with enough "tooth" to hold the
paint(if the plastic is too glossy, the paint can not really be applied,
for it does not hold on the surface of the plastic)?

If you do not know as a fact, any theory would be welcome!
