We are having a terrible time with Marine Park Photo/MP Superstore. They
are refusing to provide credit for returned merchandise, alleging that the
Postal Service opened the package, removed one of the two items enclosed,
resealed the package undetectably, and sent it along to them. This, of
course, is absurd. Their customer service personnel have been frankly rude,
particularly their "General Manager" David Waters.

Obviously, we have filed a dispute with the credit card company, which is
still pending. We have also sent a letter to the "checkrated merchant"
people at Pop Photo, but Marine Park has already been removed as an
advertiser.

Avoid Marine Park, unless you enjoy dealing with thieves, and send your
business instead to the fine people at B&H or Adorama.

All business' should learn the 80 / 20 rule.
If a customers are happy they will tell 20 people.
If they are unhappy they will tell 80 people.
Of cource this was before the internet.

This sounds really absurd... on the other hand, these things can happen...
cerified/registered mail will also help to prove return shipments, but still
don't tell what's in the package.

I am buying my photo gear from www.YourStore.com.au without any fuzz. Only
disadvantage for the rest of the world: they sell and operate only in
Australia. :)

I hope this whole thing will turn out good for you.

Cheers,
MaxG

Crap, I saw this after I already ordered from Marine Park. I also sent them
a nice little e-mail asking them why my credit card was charged $19 over
what their webpage total with shipping was. I called them to ask a
question right before I ordered, and just went ahead and ordered over the
phone since the sales guy said it would fastest, so I don't even have any
documentation. We'll see what their reply is tomorrow.
