I'm currently deciding to set up my own home studio. Have a very limited
budget.
What should i start first? I'm into potrait and still life.

You need to put some dollar figures on limited. Also which
camera(s) will you be using, and what do you already have?

First read everything about every studio strobe system you can find.
Then try to buy the system you like used and in good condition.
Since you're into still life as well as portraits, I would suggest
power packs and heads instead of monolights for more versatility.
Speedotron Brownlines are a good "starter" system, relatively
inexpensive, well supported with lots of accessories, and readily
available used.
