These are beautifully composed and beautifully developed LF images
made over a three-year period in the mid-1980s. Here's a blurb from
the jacket:

"These portraits, taken with a 4 x 5 inch view camera are among the
most revealing to emerge from a changing, yet still deeply mystical,
Nepal. Bubriski's captions tell the stories of the individuals in each
portrait, while his introduction to each region depicts the historic
traditions, as well as the modern realities of their daily lives. A
moving introduction by Arthur Oilman, Director of the Museum of
Photographic Arts, provides further insight into the cultural and
spiritual wealth of Nepal."

If you want to see a sample of the images in this book, choose
Bubriski's name from the list of artists here:

The book has softcovers, is 10 X 12 inches and contains 84 plates
within many more (unnumbered) pages. The condition is very good, but
there is a small one-line inscription on the first page and the
residue of a price sticker on the back cover.
