Is there a pastel in the house?

I have had no problem finding negative films with highly saturated
colors, and I can find films with moderate saturation. What negative
film should I use, however, if I want very low saturation? Assuming
there is such a thing, of course.

You can try 3M/Scotch films as it is impossible to get saturated colours
with the stuff. BTW overexpose by 1 stop, as I have yet to see normal
negative density with the rated speed. IMHO!!!

Have you tried the Agfa Portrait film? Nice pastel colours, good shadow
detail.
