My trusty d50 is showing signs of wear and my 18-55 bit the dust. Its time to make a serious (and costly) decision about a new camera, since I will be trying to make money with it. Job prospects are bad and I am going to sink my last couple quarters into a new body and a lens or two, so I can shoot weddings. The FF's low light possibilities sound... more »

Stolen D300 shots salvaged.

Even though I lost the D300 I had a redundant backup system, so I have been able to salvage most of the shots from my African trip. It is good to be home. The return trip via Amsterdam, with bad European and East coast weather was a nightmare. Each leg of the return was met with a delay. I had a 39 hour day from Cape Town to SFO.... more »
