One final consideration: factoring in quality and cost, would either of
the following processes be a better route to get very good quality color
PRINTS:
1) prints generated directly from the my Kodak T-64 generated color slides, or,
2) by scanning the color slides and generating either conventional color
prints or digital color prints from the scans?
Thanks.

One possiblity you haven't exploited is using a daylight bulb. The are
reasonable priced and you can get it from most of the art shop. You will
save money by buying normal daylight balanced films against the tungsten
balanced films.
I never get happy result from print films shot under the tungsten bulbs
even after the colour balance.
