Visual Arts scene.

* Photos from any/all professional or amateur photographers who have
captured the essence of San Francisco in their lenses.

* Short films, music videos from filmmakers who reside in the Bay
Area.

* Commercial art (print and television ads, company ID work, etc.)
from commercial artists who reside in the Bay Area.

Looks like another scam to get the naive artist. I'd suggest you Bay Area
types make sure you aren't paying to sign away your rights to your own work.

Winners get 24 hours of studio time. Winning entries are used for THREE YEARS
without further compensation. Artists retain all rights. Non winning entries
won't be used.

So it's not as bad as some contests where even the non-winning entries get used.

They do say that no photos slides etc will be returned.

But THREE YEARS use of an image with the only compensation being one day's use
of a studio?

Get real.

This isn't scam per-say, it's a total joke.
