What a nice -and useful- newsgroup!

I asked what probably seemed like a silly question to a bunch of
digital guys, and not only got exactly the help I needed but not one
soul flamed me for being a newbie to the technology!

Are you all *sure* that rec.photo.digital is still a part of usenet??

You asked a GOOD question. You did research, you gave most of the info
needed to give you a great answer.
